This is a great place to get some classic fish and chips and have a great chat with the owners. the owners are incredibly nice and their souvlaki is perfecto!!! their fridge is filled with many drinks that taste fresh!

Old school milk bar at its finest. Hamburgers are dynamite, as are the chips and dimmys. Owners are lovely delivering proper service. Real shame places like this are disappearing from Melbourne. Get in before its gone.

I come here for a burger with the lot and a Sth Melb market dim sim whenever I am in the area. The burgers are always consistent and never ever greasy. Love it!

Simple food but very cheap. Con and his wife are very friendly. I can recommend the roast beef rolls and the salad rolls. The hamburgers are also pretty good.

As far as fish and chip shops go, Cons gets it really right. Using good quality ingredients such as proper gummy shark flake in the fish and chips really makes a difference, the kind of difference that makes you want to drop in on a friday night on the way home from work. Not expensive and very friendly family owned business.

Fish and Chips on a hot day. Grilled fish was really tasty. The ratio of chicken salt on the hot chips was perfect. The lemon provided a great zesty flavour to the fish. Best fish and chips in Melbourne. The place was clean and it didn't have a heavy, greasy air-feel when you walk in.

Our favourite take away shop hands down! We found Con’s by chance one day over 5 years ago and even after moving away still make the trip for a delicious egg and bacon roll or roast beef. It’s an amazing old school takeaway joint. Everything is made fresh as you order. It’s a mom and pop business run by a beautiful family. On Melville at a tram stop plus parking available on the street on Melville and Victoria so easy to visit! I wish I had photos to add but the food doesn’t last long enough to snap a pic!

Came here a while ago maybe 6 weeks ago. Had some fish and chips with potato cakes. Exactly what I needed. I remember the fish being fresh and the potato cakes have that crisp, light batter with fluffy potato inside. Couldn't complain. It's exactly the 'take-away' meal I was after. No bells and whistles. No inflated prices. And the staff look as tho they've been employed their for a while.... a 'family business' vibe. Will be back. (I'm eating fish and chips from a competitor tonight and hence why I wanted to post this review, so i remember next time to drive that extra kilometer to Cons)

Brilliant old fashioned fish and chippery with a huge range of burgers and sandwiches as well. Piping hot coffee. Very friendly service and decent prices. This is a classic old school takeaway and I hope it never changes. Right next to the bus and tram stops. I wish every suburb still had a place like this.
