Cafe Oggi serve delicious meals which are excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. I was part of a group of 30 who were all served in a timely manner. We were all very happy with this restaurant and will definitely go again
Classic and hearty breakfasts. We started with coffees which were smooth and strong. The breakfasts were very large. Nothing fancy but very tasty food.
I love their lemon tart, grab one everytime I passby burwood. Takeaway price differs to sit in price. Cafe staff work on weekends sometimes dont know the price and ask restaurant staff. Staff is friendly though. The food display differs a bit each time. Coffee is standard.
Great place...highly recommend. The staff are so friendly ! And there is a large selection of food!
. Great coffee too ! My favourite dish is the prawns and vegetables! 🤗👌👌
Had come for lunch with some friends, ordered their Tomato Bruschetta
seafood Mornay and a lunch-board special of smoked salmon lemon, cappers and mayo. Tomato bruschetta was delicious, fetta, tomato, nice bruschetta bread, seafood mornay was nice, prawns, lemon, olives, fresh fish and red peppers on a crepe, salmon dish was great, nice fresh ingredients all balanced. The service was very excellent, very well looked after and gave a pretty decent tip. So food was great and service was excellent. The decor however is very old and run down, especially the outside, if this place does a massive renovation, I believe they will get more business as we drive past this place alot and didn't think of it as nice however was pretty surprised after eating at this place.
Cafe Oggi has been in the area for a very long time and we have picked up coffee to go many times. Had lunch there a couple of times in the past 6 months and find the food rather good. The service is friendly too.
Normally when we went to the old Vic road we stopped by and grabbed a cup of coffee and chai latte , they got a variety of cake but never had chance to have it . Drinks are above average .
Lovely and good food, but the place needs a refurbishment specially the outdoor area, looks ugly! You find always a car spot around the restaurant.See you soon
We decided very last minute to go out for dinner instead of cooking after a very busy long weekend. Without realising, we tried a few places for dinner (drive by) and noticed they were very busy as it was mother’s day! Despite that we got a table for 2 pretty quickly around 7pm on a Sunday and we ordered straight away. We ordered the small garlic cheese pizza as starter. We could have ordered the larger size as it was so good! I order the seafood risotto and my husband ordered the chicken parmigiana. Our mains were steaming hot and generous; lots of fresh seafood and chicken breast as the parmigiana with loads of crisp chips and fresh salad. I could only eat half my main but was able to take the rest home for lunch. Both meals were delicious and as described on the menu. Service was also great considering how busy it was. We will be back again very soon and now consider this our local favourite.
Review solely based on today's Latte, hey!
Cafe Oggi has been around for well over 20 years. It has survived when so many other businesses nearby have bitten the dust.
It was explained to this Whip that "oggi" is a bit like "yum-cha" for Italians. 'Little lunch' or some such.
This Cafe was first run by Italians, now by Lebanese and they sure know how to make coffee. It was EPIC! They use Dark Atomic beans, and use a gorgeous "La Marzocco" machine, regarded in the coffee world like a FERRARI. That's probably why it's RED, hey! Oops too many HEY'S!! Tooooo much CAFFEINE today. (Some people also consider the Whippet to be the FERRARI of the dog world).
Service is LOVELY. Friendly, helpful. Even cheeky! (Where's the toilet? We don't have one, just use one of the trees outside!) Not too precious, we love that.
BTW as it's located on the rim of the TALLY-HO Business park they have lovely river gardens well worth a stroll if you have the time. That's what this Whip and Wasabi the super pup did today, HEY!
We were a group of 16 and all our meals came out within minutes of each other. There was plenty of order envy as everyone's meals looked tasty, but there wasn't a bad choice among them. I had the penne matriciana and it was perfectly cooked with a good balance of pasta and toppings. Good sized portions. Nice atmosphere. Staff were lovely. Good for families, they had plenty of high chairs ready.
Been driving past here for maybe 15 years never tried, WOW have we been missing out. This will definitely be our local go to for Italian food. The meal size is very good and taste amazing. The kids meals are very high quality not just fried stuff like at a lot of restaurants. Definitely a diamond in the rough.
A little worn around the edges, entry to the bistro is not very impressive but the staff more than make up for that with their warm welcome and efficient service. A group of nine (one with food intolerances) was attending a family celebration and we were provided with delicious meals and no fuss. The food is well above the average pub offerings, tasty and fresh. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff were always close at hand when wanted but not hovering over us either. Love that the menu offers many clearly labelled GF options and that the host adapted dessert offering to meet our needs. Thanks for a great night, we will be back
The food is just great. Pizza is just taste fantastic, salad is fresh and appetizing, the porter house just done right with great sauce. Lastly, the duck a l’Otange is a must try.
You won’t be disappointed.
The vibe and ambience with smiley greetings is such a warm welcome to a wonderful meal.
Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Hidden behind their trucker stop cafe is the bistro. A great experience! We were seated in a booth. I had the chicken Parma - you can’t go wrong there. Accompanied by heaps of chips and salad. Very reasonably priced. Decor is dated, but it is what it is. We were too full to try dessert, next time.
Have been coming here for over 24 years consistently delivering great service and wonderful food.
Looking forward to visiting agsin on my next return to Melbourne.
Well done Sam
