Awesome chinese halal food- good for all my friends who've never tried chinese food before. THe lamb skewers were smoky and juicy and well seasoned, however the spice levels could be a bit higher. The hand-pulled noodles are delicious and come with a great sauce. However the leek dumplings were far too oily for our liking. Would come here again just for the lamb and noodles :)

Nice busy place. Good for two people as well as friends to hang out. Large portion and very reasonable price. Taste is good. You can go with your family as well.
Don't be mislead by the name of this restaurant - Lao Hui Min Hand Made Ramen Restaurant does not serve Japanese food. However, they do offer a very good hand made noodle. The beef noodle soup that we had had a wonderfully fragrant broth and delicious, springy noodles. Unpretentious, non-fussy dining.
Don't want to wait for a table at Seabay? Then come here! The lamb skewers were juicy and smoky. The handmade noodles were also great. You could watch and hear the ladies in the kitchen making them to order! The chicken dish with flat noodles was flavoursome with a nice kick off chilli. The chicken was amazing and fell off the bone. Overall definitely better than expected. Up there with Seabay and Chinese Noodle House.
Lao Hui Min does Xinjiang food. You may be thinking that Xinjiang sounds vaguely Chinese and you’d be correct. It’s a region in northwestern China with a long, rich history and a large Uygher population. The owner, Bill, has been cooking this food for a long time and his sparsely decorated and very green restaurant is well-liked in Burwood. As in Chinese Islamic cuisine, you can expect most of the menu to be made up of lamb (both meat and offal) dishes and a liberal use of cumin and black pepper.
