Authentic sivhuan cuisine, as a person from sichuan, spicy joint is the restaurant i would go every time when i miss the flavor of my hometown.

Beautiful authentic restaurant. When you walk in you are greeted with the smell of delicious dishes. The menu is quite extensive. It is like a magazine full of images so you can see exactly what you are ordering. I thought this was quite helpful and beautiful.

When they call themselves “Spicy Joint” they really live up to the name. I ordered a beer hot pot dish and it was literally one of the hottest dishes I have ever ordered. Although extremely spicy, it was enjoyable and I quite liked this dish. I also ordered a small Dan Dan noodle as well as a pork belly dish. The noodles were really tasty and great value ($3.90 and it somewhat filled me up) while the pork belly was tender and flavoursome. I always order fried buns when I go to any Chinese place that offers them and Spicy Joint provided great buns.

This restaurant is perfect for a small group of people. I’ve seen it get quite busy at night but when I went at lunch we were seated straight away.

Highly recommend the sour pickled fish and pork with preserved veges. Food here is authentic, packed full of flavour with many options to choose from. Big portion sizes for most dishes 👍
