Absolutely love this hidden gem. Has the best yum cha in Cabramatta. And the customer service is brilliant, we never have to wait long for a table. Our family travel from Penrith and it’s definitely well worth the drive.
Yeaa amazing yum cha perfect service very nice staff the food was much lit straight fire!! Would come back!! :)
Came to Fortune 8 for yumcha on Sunday. Abit of a wait around 10 but not too long. The staff at this restaurant are really great- extremely well organised and attentive. Because the restaurant is fairly small the food comes to you pretty quick. A decent selection of yumcha foods are offered. Would reccomend giving this place a visit- especially when the Vinh phat lines are way too long.
Good little yum cha restaurant hidden in Cabramatta. Gets very very busy on weekends. The food is good but not amazing. The staff are okay. They don't really smile especially the lady on the till she doesn't smile at all.
This cute family owned restaurant is hidden away in an arcade at Cabramatta. With so many yum cha places to choose from, you can’t go wrong with this place! Although it isn’t as fancy as your iron chef or Vinh phat, food quality is still pretty good and service is excellent. There is a huge range of yum cha options to choose from. I’ve been told they’re all day yum cha till 4pm. If you come here in the morning (9-11) you’re sure to secure a spot - be early though or expect to wait in line like the other busier yum cha joints!
Yummy little family-friendly yum cha restaurant tucked away inside the AA shopping complex. Not as fancy or modern as other yum cha restaurants but offers great service and a decent variety of delicious yum cha dishes. Love that they are now also available on Uber Eats!
Staple for great food and Yum Cha in Cabramatta! Great as you can order your dim sum of the menu so all the food is delivered fresh. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for a great cheap and local feed!
Probably the best yum cha place I’ve ever been to ! I know that’s debatable for the cabra areas but after trying all the other places, this is by far the best for me. They don’t have much of the usual desserts but the food itself is so fresh and authentic. The service is super friendly and YES there will be a line if you decide to go on weekends for brunch 😂. Nothing to fault with quality here and it has become my ‘go to’ yumcha location. 🤤🤤
Decided to give Fortune8 a go as it is considered a local secret if you’re after some cheap Yum Cha without having to wait a long time for a table as it is hidden within a plaza. As soon as you are seated, waiters and waitresses are already at your table asking if you want the delicious dishes they have in front of you.
Overall, food was decent, service was exceptional!
Food : 😍 Amazing
Service : 😍 Amazing
I think I’m biased when I say this is the best Yum Cha restaurant I’ve ever been to because I grew up going here. In all honesty though, it has very delicious food. Most of their dishes are hand made and freshly cooked which is what I love. The service is great with loving, funny staff members.
I prefer Fortune 8 over the endless queue from Vinh Phat for yum cha. This restaurant always makes me feel at home by friendly staff. I got a table instantly even though it was a Saturday morning. Instead of pushing food cart around, the ladies there will carry tiny trays offering yummy dishes with brief explanation. If you'd like to order something of your choice, ask for the menu or just tell any staff who walks pass you.
The food quality was good but some of the dishes quickly turned cold once they landed our table. The quantity, as expected, is up to yum cha standard. There is young lad (I presume the owner's daughter) who attentively refills the chilly sauce whenever someone nearly finishes their dipping portion.
Please don't take multiple servings for the same dish. Try it among your table first. I witness a Westerner table getting full after taking 4 serving of sticky rice. They did not look very enjoyable.
I came here on a pretty moderate day so it wasn't packed but it wasn't empty either!
We ordered a variety of dishes such as the fried dumplings, prawn dumplings, har gow, shumai, rice noodle roll, mango pancake, steamed vegetable which were pretty delicious!!!
The waiters were nice and friendly ☺️
