I kept going back to Bagus whilst visiting cairns because it is the best Indonesian food that I’ve had outside of Indonesia. It’s authentic with kind service and authentic food served from a hole in the wall. The chicken satays are particularly noteworthy

We really loved Bagus during our stay at Cairns, we went back there every second day during the week. This is some of the best Indonesian food outside of Indonesia. The owners of the restaurant bring a smile to your face with amazing hospitality and the setting of the restaurant reminded me of Indonesia. Definitely recommend the food especially the rendang sapi!

Came here at the start of last year and been back a few times when coming up to cairns from Melbourne. Delicious food and well worth it. It's worth the walk from the main center of cairns to eat here. Open for lunch and dinner. Will always come back when I'm up here.

I enjoyed eating dinner at this small establishment. Reminiscent of a beach side cafe, small counter with outside tables. The food was very good. Excellent! I had vegetable Mie Goreng with chicken sate sticks. Only issue was the loud fans going in the background. Not really needed on a day like today. Perhaps later on when it heats up 😬

100% authentic indonesian foood, I’ll definitely be back again. Very funny and lovely staffs, love the sambal. It definitely hits the spot, 10/10 recommend to order homemade ice tea with lemon which is sooo good and refreshing. It’s not in the menu but you can let them know. Yummmy food and ambience 100% definitely Indonesian vibes

Beautiful hidden gem in Cairns across from Muddy's Playground. Friendly & welcoming faces who greet you with a warm smile. Food is delicious! We always order the fried chicken with rice, spinach & small sides with satay chicken with 3x extra satay sauces! 😂😂 A fantastic afternoon date for me & hubby! Thank you Bagus Cafe! Exceptional food & service! 😊🙌
