My Aunt introduced Carley's Cinese Massage to me the last time I visited a year ago. I was extremely impressed by their quality and value.
RECENT VISIT
My friend suggested we have a massage for 45 minutes. With last year's experience being so positive, I was eager to agree.
The staff were very polite.
The wait was not long, but can be longer depending in staff. Many of their staff returned home due to Covid.
EXCELLENT
We had the well sort after "Hero" and a young man from Tokyo. They both did a 45 minute treatment. Feet, legs, arms, shoulders and back for $45.00 ($1 a minute)
RESULTS
My calves were tight from km's of walking each day, my back ached due to a hard mattress at my accommodation. The massage reduced the tight muscles and soreness of my back.
Can be a bit hit and miss but generally good, and cheap. I have had hundreds of massages in my life, in Australia and overseas, from all manner of styles and levels of expertise (including physio, osteopaths and accredited massage therapists). Some of the massages I've had at Carley's have easily been the best I've had.
Great value for money ($50/1hr) nice staff and i can generally get my requested firm massage. The negative is its right next to the food court in raintrees shopping centre so for a more peaceful massage avoid lunch time. I also love they have a permanant stall in the night markets for after hours! This is my go to place for a great massage
Carley's Chinese Massage at the night markets is a bit of a Cairns institution, it's been operating forever! The price has gone up with inflation to $20 for a 40 min full body massage, but still a bargain. It's wroth noting a lot of the employees are backpackers, not professional masseuses. That said, I've never had a bad massage in the countless times I've been here. There's also very little upselling to snake oil and hot stones nowadays so feel safe. Highly recommended.
