Seriously good food. Nice vibe, I do think they go a little bit overboard with the formalities, however, the food & wine are sensational. If you have not yet been, I highly recommend this restaurant. I had the yellowfin tuna, chicken pâté, pumpkin tortellini, Otis pepper steak & magnum meringue. I have dined at most restaurants in Canberra & I genuinely believe the pepper steak could possibly be the best steak in Canberra. Absolutely divine. Staff are lovely, special thanks to Kyle & Allen!
I came to Otis for a pre birthday celebration last week and had the 5 course tasting plate with one surprise dish. I won't reveal what the dish is, that's something you should try yourselves, you won't regret it. The set menu was perfect to have especially on a 40 degree day like last week. Everything was so delicious, I couldn't choose which dish I liked best.
I would like to thank Damian and the rest of the staff for making my first (and definitely not my last) visit to Otis one of the best dining experiences i've had. Everyone was really friendly and casual which helped me feel at ease since I don't go to a lot of fine dining establishments.
I recently attended a conference dinner hosted by Otis Dining Hall as a private function. The service was exceptional, striking the perfect balance between being attentive and giving you space to enjoy your meal. The food was simply stunning, with each of us wanting to try each others meal, so I recommend multiple visits so you can work your way through the menu!
