Review Pizza Artigiana - Canberra

Pizza base or the crust is nice and crispy! We ordered the pizza with the potato and rosemary, it was a bit salty and not sure if we could notice the rosemary. As well as the Margherita, it was a bit light on toppings but I suppose that's how it was meant to be. The store has seats outside if you want to eat there, as currently the seats inside are off bounds. A bit expensive, might try different toppings if in the area.

Last night we ordered takeaway to be picked up in our bid to support small local businesses during the current lockdown. Although the food was nice, however was not what we expected. We ordered 2 pastas and 2 pizzas. When ordering we were told that pasta wasn't included and that we had to buy it separately. When we picked up our order we received our pizza's with packet sauce and uncooked pasta to cook at home (we had anticipated the pasta's to be cooked). After looking through the website to see if we had missed this detail, we found that the website didn't clearly explain this. If we had of known the pasta dishes would be provided this way, we would've chosen somewhere else or made pasta from home. I think it would be helpful if this had been more clearly outlined on the website or by phone. Otherwise, enjoyed the pizza's and flavours of the pasta.

They do authentic woodfired pizzas here and they are amazing. This Ortolana Pizza ranks as highly as those I've had in Via Napoli, if not better. They have a strong presence at the Verity Lane markets too so worth checking them out there. Regards @fooderarri

Might have been having an off night based on the other ratings but the pizza was really disappointing. It was seriously wet and soggy and the ham tasted like it was almost off or, at the very least, far from fresh. Was recommended by multiple people so I am hoping this was a one off, but probably won’t be going back.

Ordered Pietro. The pizza was sloppy and wet like the 'chef' had simply emptied a jar of pre cut olives onto the pizza and that's about all that was on the pizza. No artichokes or eggplant - just pre cut olives and a few mushrooms and barely any cheese (not remotely like the photo on their menu). The base was still sloppy even after I put it into my oven for another 10 minutes. I had high expectations, but I am extremely disappointed.

Some of the best pizzas north side of Canberra. Ordered 3 different to share as dine-in and they were all excellent. Thin and crusty base, lightly smoked with fresh garnish. Accompanied with San Pellegrino and Peroni. Friendly service, waiting time was under 30 minutes on a rather busy evening. Highly recommended.

A nice introduction to genuine Italian pizzas. We especially liked the white base ones. Great pizzas and fantastic services. Will surely come back.

Got three pizzas from here last night and now we will not get pizza anywhere else! Very authentic and so tasty! Cooked to perfection.

Delicious Napoli pizza! Best we've found in Canberra. Friendly and fast service and a casual relaxed restaurant. We will definitely be back :)

Great pizza. Fairly authentic, delicious and well cooked dough and tomato sauce is great. Olives were also great. Little expensive but definitely worth it for good pizza.

My husband & I were very excited to find a genuine Italian wood fired pizza restaurant in the heart of Belconnen . Its unpretentious atmosphere, use of quality ingredients , makes for great tasting pizzas. I love that their pizzas are created by family and friends plus - they name them after them as well. Give them a go, you will fall in love just like we have.

Came to ACT for 2 nights and tried 2 woodfired pizza places over the two days. Let's just say we shouldn't have bothered with the second option (Locale..) and if we come back to ACT, we'll be going straight back to Pizza Artigiana. Proper quality Neapolitan pizza; if that's what you're after- this is the spot.
Also, very good value for money considering the style of pizza. $18 for a Margherita is very reasonable and worth every delightful mouthful.
Excellent service; accomodating four our three hungry, rowdy children, understated setting, and the real deal in pizza.

Sorry guys. Ate here when it first opened and never went back. Way overpriced. Aimed at public servants with pretentious middle class aesthetics that probably attempt to order in Italian. Working class oinks like me best stay away.

We had dinner there last Monday and I can't wait to go back.

I had a Diavola, also called Rino and it was just perfect, spicy and delicious. The base is thin and so tasty. I even ate the crust at the end (which I usually leave). It seemed to me that they use quality and fresh ingredients.
My husband ordered the Prosciutto also called Ambra and said that it was very tasty. We were both full (had a cheeky Italian ice cream for dessert) but not bloated.
We love Italy and go there often for holidays and I can say that this is a traditional Italian wood-fire pizza.
They have Italian beers and good wine. I just wish they were open 24/7.
We also had a nice chat with Silvio (the owner) and were impressed with the friendly service and ambience. I would give it a 10 out of 10. Thank you Pizza Artigiana for a wonderful night. We will be back very soon.

This is a hidden gem in Canberra! The margherita was delicious and very authentic. The guys there are also super friendly which is a bonus. Recommended.

I have been recommending this place to everyone I come across.
Absolutely DELICIOUS pizza. Proper woodfire pizza, the kind that's in and out of the oven within four minutes.

Don't be put off by the slightly-weird location, it's actually a super cute little spot to sit and have a casual dinner. Inside, you can watch some football and have a chat to the owner, or you can chill outside with a bit of a picnic-table vibe. Trust me, you won't want to wait until you get home to eat it!

It's great to see more food places pop up in the suburbs. Pizza Artigiana offers a variety of wood-fired pizza that you can eat in or takeaway. We had a few takeaway and they were nice. The bases were thin and the flavours were good. There's a good variety on offer. A little more topping spread out further to the edges would have made the pizzas better. They were still yummy! Not the best I've ever had but far from the worst. This would be a great place to go to if you live close by and are after some wood-fired pizzas with family and friends.

As I'm local to the area, I'm happy to see a new store open up that gives more variety to a growing location. Chose the Paola & Margarita from the menu. The thin base helps not to take away from the rich flavoured ingredients. Every piece had me coming back for more. There was a slight delay on the pizza's as their was some difficulty with the oven but easily resolved with marinated olives to nibble on. Quite oily, some of the crusts were very burnt but fresh ingredients none-the-less. It is overpriced for how scarce the toppings are. The flavour is what will have me return.

There's a big difference between generic franchise pizzas and authentically made pizzas. This is especially evident when you buy from Artigiana.

Great quality pizza, traditionally made with authentic recipes and fresh ingredients. Artigiana is HIGHLY recommended!

Have found this place the best and authentic pizza we have had since being in Canberra... the staff are friendly and make a really good pizza.... worth the trip from anywhere in Canberra...

Have been really pleased with what these men are doing. Simple authentic flavours, great wood fired bases, it is all here. The pizza I ate tonight had me thinking about it for hours. They are licenced too, so have wine and some beer. All I can say is, we look forward to going back so we can work our way through what is on offer. Top notch.
