We had an excellent evening. Friendly staff. Our waiter was friendly, polite and professional. Our meals were presented well and full of flavour, very enjoyable. Great atmosphere, we sat upstairs and enjoyed the evening.

Had roast duck and a veggie dish. Veggie dish was a large serve. Very reasonably priced. The roast duck was very flavourful. A sufficient portion. The only letdown was the skin is not a crispy roast duck skin. Wine and beer selection is ample. Overall, good value. Setting is not extravagant or fancy by any means. Would definitely go back for a weeknight dinner every time.

Went there for a birthday dinner. They tried to refuse my sons public access assistance dog entry even though we were seated upstairs by ourselves. Forgot the birthday girls meal and we waited a very long time for mains after we were told they would all come out all together. Poor service, no one asked if we’d like more drinks throughout the meal even though we were waiting so long.

Pro: the food was ok
Cons: the owner/waiter was very rude. We booked for a group at lunch and unfortunately some of our number could not make it. The owner or waiter(not sure which) then proceeded to berate us for about 3 min about it.
When we went to pay, we asked if we could split the bill. A simple yes or no would have been fine, but he just looked at us and said "you can sort it out yourselves, you should be more organised"
If you are booking for a group I would avoid the place, it may be a different matter if you are alone.
Suffice to say none of us will be going back.

Have been coming to this restaurant for 5 years now, a gem we found by chnace. The food and service excellent. We come from Gippsland Victoria roughly every 6 weeks to enjoy our meals there each time.

The food was pretty good. However, I ordered via Deliveroo which previously did not include chopsticks or napkins. I called the restaurant directly and asked if they could include those in my last order, as the never include them. Also, there is no facility on the Deliveroo App to make notes to the restaurant. I called Ginseng directly and it was such a bother for them to include chopsticks/napkins!! Gobsmacked that it was such an issue. Not impressed.

Fantastic, best Chinese in Canberra. We got Honey chicken (they put chilli in the sauce for me), Szechuan Chili Chicken and Shantung Chicken. The gentleman who served us was very nice and helpful.
