Despite what the A-Frame sign says outside, it's not the best coffee in Canberra...and they will only serve you outside if you don't show your mask exemption. 𤨠They need to do better in both respects.

The staff and coffee was great! While there I saw that a customer couldn't afford the entire amount and so they gave it to them for free!

Great coffee and generally very good service. Very good cafe for local workers but not an ideal meeting spot to pop into due to lack of parking (not their fault)

Extremely Rude and pretentious. This place treats you like crap. The staff don't seem to have a single personality between them all, and you struggle to get anything more than that "Give me your money and get out of my face" look.<br/>I have been there a few times, and its only getting worse.

Used to Luke this place, manger's a nob. Coffee used to be good, the manager's must be training and instructing the staff in how customer service is not to be done

This place isn't my cup of tea, or coffee. It has me wondering if my taste in coffee is off, because everyone in Barton seems to love it. But the coffee tastes like cardboard! I dont don't get it.<br/><br/>Limited food options are available, and arr edible but nothing special. Prices are what you'd expect.<br/><br/>It's also small and noisy, so hard to hear your friends speak. Staff are nice and a bit quirky.

Just had a great experience, comfortable atmosphere, staff were lovely, coffee great and reasonably priced and because it was the end of the day they have me a complimentary muffin. Very happy :)

I got exceptional service on my first visit to Hideout today. Staff were friendly and generous. And coffee to match Harvest and Tonic. You can't get any better than that!

Finally! Good coffee in National Circuit Barton. Quick service, simple menu, fabulous decor, friendly staff. This place will boom! A great place to escape the office... Or perhaps eavesdrop!
Adventures In Winterland
Hideout wasnât high on my âto visitâ list â they donât have a large food offering, so it really is all about the coffee, which I donât drink â but on this day I was more than happy to go along. The staff were very friendly and the service was impressive â we ordered at the counter (flat white for my colleague, soy hot chocolate for me), and our drinks came to the table in the blink of an eye. We took a seat next to the impressive bookshelf wall full of second-hand volumes, and when it arrived my hot chocolate was impressively tasty, with a lovely rich froth on the top. There are very few places in Canberra that can make soy taste good (experiences have ranged from âcanât taste any chocolateâ to âtastes like cardboardâ), but for Canberra Hideout does well. It also came with two marshmellows, which was a nice bonus. The verdict? Cozy, tasty and inviting. Hideout is aptly named. They have a great system and pump through the coffees fast. So donât be put off by a big line if youâre there in the morning. They do serve the best laminations Iâve ever had in my life. The berry muffins are also quite something.
