Very quick service. Lovely food. Would love to return again when visiting Canberra

Nice food. Nice owner. Service not very polished though, not sure how well trained or experienced the staff are? More like cafe service than a restaurant. They also need to clean the tables more thoroughly. The alfresco area was full of flies that were always landing on tables.... fyi, a quick spray and wipe of a table doesn't clean it properly. just ask the flies...

Was an amazing time with delicious food and fantastic vibes. They gave Complimentary soup as well (for special customers in festive season of Ramadan) which was best Soup in my life I ever had. Will go back soon.

OH MY GOODNESS ! Food never tasted so good 😋 First time guest this evening but can guarantee it won't be the last. Friendly helpful and courteous staff. The food was do fresh and tasty. We tried one of the Banquet options and were not disappointed. So fresh, tasty and unbelievably delicious.

just had the best lunch $20 lunch specials with a glass of wine. so fresh and filling only to have 2 rude ladies at the counter - firstly splitting the bill where it clearly states no bill splitting and then complaining about the price of the food… apparently they were given the wrong menu with the wrong price - seriously the audacity of some customers !!

Amazing food (bonfile shish reminds me of brazilian barbecue). Staff are friendly.

We returned for lunch after a Doctor's visit. Pide seafood...........scrumptious verging on hypnotic ! Very professional staff, entree of zucchini balls and after 2 small free baklava. Simply devine ! And when they bring you the wine, it's a good ole Aussie glass full, generous serves and great people. Great Aussies.

We were very happy with our meal. The staff were very friendly. The food came out very quickly and was delicious. Will definitely go back again

A really excellent meal with wonderful service! Thank-you for a wonderful evening celebrating our daughter's birthday. All our mains were good but the duck was especially delicious and the baklava was fantastic.

the food was awesome smokey tasty.. but banquet options was a bit small as what we expected so we have to ask more bread but came another time and choose the individual menu and put in as sharing it is full enough to save us in group..

Great decor with ample seating both inside and outside the restaurant. They had lovely attentive staff who helped to modify their ‘special banquet’ which contained 5 courses of food (39.90pp). I thoroughly enjoyed the warm Turkish bread with the fresh dips (stand out was the beetroot dip). Their zucchini puffs were also delicious. Their oregano lamb was another stand out, packed a lot of flavour and was also tender and juicy. I received complimentary dessert on the night and it was a great way to end the night. <br/>

It was our first time to eat at Turkish Pide House and we took a chance with their kebab platter. Amazing! Big serving for 2 people - it had 5 different kinds of meat, veggies, salad and rice. It’s filled with flavour and the meat were cooked to perfection - chicken was not dry, beef was medium well, lamb was very tender! Highly recommended!

My family and I went for dinner last Saturday. The atmosphere was astonishing. The food was out of this world. However the waitress was exceptionally rude, i could not believe her attitude and the way she was replying to my family. She appeared to be young and very over the top for her job she was very out of place but nevertheless it was obvious she did not want to be there.  It seemed as if she was just hanging to leave and get out of there as soon as possible. She read back our order to us incorrectly three times then proceeded to get angry at us when we corrected her.  I was shocked when my mother asked her to clarify something on the menu she huffed and puffed and told us to look at the menu as if we have not already done so.  When she brought over our food she basically chucked it onto the table and just walked off. She was very rude it was very disappointing. I have never met such a rude waitress in my entire life. I am not sure if i will be back, the food is amazing and i don't know if i can live without it. I might just have to get takeaway. I was angry for hours after having dinner. Such a disappointment.

We had dinner with some friends and shared a kebab platter so that we could try a selection of the grilled meats. The meat was tender and cooked and seasoned perfectly and we loved the complimentary dips that they gave us for starters. BYO was also a bonus.

I felt like some Turkish food for lunch and after checking out a couple of cheap kebab places we arrived here. I liked the feel of the place with the raised and covered deck outside. <br/>We ordered a small pide and dips platter, lamb rack with mashed potato, and the kebab meat platter. <br/>I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary plate of koftes which were delicious. <br/>The pide and dips platter was quite nice. Some of the pide could have been toasted a little more.<br/>The lamb rack and the kebab meat platter and the vegetables that accompanied these dishes were cooked perfectly. Good food done well - an enjoyable lunch.<br/>A series of empty plates the only remaining sign of our demolition of the lunch after we left.

Just amazing. Meat is always perfectly cooked and the pides are the best I've had. Huge variety of toppings and as you can't really finish a whole pide in one sitting, they are great value

Ok ok.. Ill be honest. The food here is amazing. <br/><br/>Like literally amazing. If you get there early and get the turkish bread just as it is coming out of the oven you will jizz a little. <br/><br/>HOWEVER. <br/><br/>It is almost impossible to truly enjoy how tasty the food is over the rudeness. Yep this ladies and gents is the rudest establishment you will ever enter. I don't know why these people are just so unhappy, they really appear to hate the custom and i must admit it has made me feel ever so slightly uneasy at the scowls or upturned lips when you try to be friendly... Such a shame, it truly has 50% of the formula right. Every time i go there (pick up only now) i swear ill never go back then BAM - i remember the pide and dips and that awesome vegetables with garlic sauce and I'm back again forgoing any personal respect and pleading for them to please let me buy some food?? <br/><br/>NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!<br/><br/>I hate that i love you Turkish pide house.

This was my first Turkish restaurant experience and overall I was a little underwhelmed. The seafood in the pizza was overcooked which was disappointing considering the great zucchini balls. Was an alright experience but would try other Turkish restaurants before going back

Excellent food always, never fails to deliver. I came in this time just as they're starting up for the day. As they're setting up the tables, the gentleman who took my order gave me the dinner menu instead of lunch menu(which I'm fine with, everyone makes mistakes). But he went away and had forgotten: a lady came to me taking my order, and once I made it known to her he'd forgotten my order berated him in front of everyone. I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave at one point; the lady seemed on edge and was telling him off in front of me for not getting the cutlery.<br/>Again, excellent food: but staff(or I suspect family members as it seems to be a family business) should be more aware and not berate a staff member in front of paying customers: it puts them off the delicious food.

Good cheap eats. Can be a bit variable, but on good days very good for the staple pide and kebabs. Probably the best in Canberra at the price. Great value takeaway lunch boxes. Big servings, and the banquets are great for lunches and big groups. Downsides are that it's not the place for a romantic night out, and the service can be a little surly.

Perfect for a group. Delicious food and as a group we were taken care of very well!<br/>would recommend for a group function. Enjoyed the mains and entrees even more.<br/>Lovely atmosphere.

Expensive. $5 for a soft drink? yeah please

Gets worse and worse. Basically a feeding trough for groups of public servants who have a large group function, and go to Turkish Pide House because it is close to the workplace and offers banquets. The banquet food comes out faster than you'd really like to eat it, so you feel rushed to eat. <br/><br/>The banquet food is very pedestrian. For example, the baba ghannoush tastes bland and barely of eggplant, you'll find the "chef's special sauce" is causing you grief the next day, and the rice is caked and looking a bit dried out.<br/><br/>If you do find yourself having to go to lunch with a crowd, try to talk them out of the banquet as the a la carte dishes are much better, and the pizzas are fine. Just be careful ordering anything with special sauce. It's mildly spicy which is good, but doesn't necessarily taste fresh.<br/><br/>Finally, I was last there with a small group in October, and we must have misjudged the temperature. We sat at the northernmost outdoor booth and although the waiter did everything he could to warm the area, cold gusts kept coming in at our backs. <br/><br/>Also, this particular waiter had brought his child to work, obviously out of necessity. I commend the TPH for allowing him to do this

Im from Melbourne, the state of turkish restraunts. Ive eaten at so many turkish restraunts as i am turkish and its in my blood.. But.... THIS PLACE HAD THE BEST DIPS AND SHISH KEBABS I HAVE EVER EATEN!!!<br/><br/>I cant wait to come back to Canberra. I keep thinking about the dips and shish. Yummm. Good work guys. <br/><br/>U put my state to shame.

Ordered take away. Extremely rude person took my order. When picking up I did not get a hello or thankyou and felt like I was inconveniencing them. I'm not expecting them to hear my life story but a bit of customer service would go a long way at this place.

This is a great place to eat especially for group gatherings. Love the banquet! So much food and great value for money. The chicken is so tender every time. My favourite are the fresh zucchini balls. Lunch takeaway boxes are good value at $10. Really recommend this place to anyone.

Similar to another review about this place, I like the food but the rest needs work. Service is haphazard to say the least. I never feel like I'm being welcomed into the restaurant, wait staff are easily distracted while taking your order, abrupt almost to the point of rudeness sometimes (insisting we order banquets) and their approach to table service feels more ad-hoc than coordinated. The only saving grace is the food. Much prefer other other Turkish restaurants in the region.

Great food great service, don't think takeaway when you come to this Turkish restaurant, this is a bone fide proper Turkish Restaurant that only serves the finest cuisine, no Kebabs here, about time someone decided to break the norm and show case real Turkish food.
Daniel
Uuummm yeah. Food I must say was good, everything was very tasty and somewhat true to traditional Turkish flavors. The service on the other hard, absolute rubbish. The service staff where completely unattentive, it was like they didn't want to be there. Our table was 11 people in for a double birthday dinner on a Saturday night (10 Nov 12). When we asked for the birthday cake we were delivered the bill. When we ask about coffee at 9:30pm we were told the machine had been switched off as they close early on Saturday nights. These guys really need a wake up call when it come to hospitalty service and expectations of customers. Avoid if possible.

Food was delicious, fantastic service. <br/><br/>Waiter was friendly, helpful and recommended a money saving alternative to our meal which included everything we wanted.<br/><br/>Food was brought out quickly and bill was very easonable.

I haven't had much Turkish food so didn't know what to expect from a place in Westfield. I was pleasantly surprised at the food and service. I had some kind of sweet, grape leaf wrapped chicken which was unlike anything I had tasted before. I had Turkish delight for dessert as well as some kind of Turkish juice that tasted like cranberry. Don't order this combination unless u want to become diabetic!

If you're looking for a good late lunch in Phillip after 3pm, look no further. Beautiful food and fabulous service. The Pide House Banquet is particularly good value and the chargilled seafood is a stand out.

The Turkish Pide House in Woden has lovely outdoor seating and inviting interior seating. It also has a menu full of interesting Turkish dishes and a very convenient location for Woden workers.<br/>The tricky challenge has always been how to order an interesting range of dishes to share and leave feeling content but comfortable. A banquet (starting at $19.50 and including a glass of wine) is an easy way to share but is way too much food. However, an alternative for sharing between a group of six is to order a dip and Turkish bread to start with another entrée item and a couple of salads with chicken veal or seafood as well as a pide. This works out at around $13 per person.

The place wasn’t full, was pretty easy to get a seat. We had a bottle to celebrate and they allowed BYO. Pretty awesome. Our waiter was a kind man, we gave him our suggestions and he provided us with few other options to choose from. In the end, we decided on a recommended Special: Prawn Stuffed Eggplants with Rice, Entree: grilled Beef Slices, and Salad: mixed Tomato, Cucumber and garnishes.
