Review L'orange Patisserie - Canberra

Very authentic french patisserie in canberra. Its pricy as they put lots of effort on making beautiful cakes. Im happy to find great canele in canberra. Coffee was not that strong and many people had tea. Great place for girls afternoon tea time.

Extremely offensive experience! The staff served the wrong pastry and I asked them to replace it. The chef raised his voice at me and said “it doesn’t work like that”. He then threw the pastry in the bin in a very disrespectful manner. I was basically treated like a smuggler. I left the cafe in tears without eating my food. This is unacceptable behaviour.

Croquembouche .....NOT HAPPY I was confident when ordering a special wedding lunch Croquembouche for 20 people = I have made these before as a Chef & Cafe/catering business owner but was time poor on this occasion.. Double checked details personally with Chef Wim beginning of week and paid in full $200plus .....it was delivered apparently NOON the DAY BEFORE event :the product looked depleted and very disappointing I was humiliated to say the least_. As the Bride & Groom could not "CUT THAT CAKE" thank goodness the Hotel Kurrajong CAME TO THE RESCUE....they took the very small sized puffs and used them as garnish to a dessert they quickly assembled... I did call L'Orange and left a message stating my distress, i assumed I would have received a call back but there has been no contact to this day. Well all I can do is take my experience and warn others to take heed to avoid an expensive mistake.

Nice Patisserie in a small mall. Service is amazing and all options look yummy! The atmosphere is nice and quiet, coffee was also nice. We felt everything was a bit pricey but worth the quality and service. Will return when I'm back in Canberra.

The chef bullied my wife and raised his voice at her for asking him to replace an order that was incorrectly served. Bulling customers is unlawful. I hope this behaviour gets addressed.
