Wandered in on a Friday afternoon after having dinner in Kingston and was pleasantly surprised with the electric atmosphere. The whole bar was buzzing and a gentleman gave up his seat at the bar for myself and girlfriend. The staff were amazing. The crowd was friendly. Perfect balance of service to let us catch up, yet provide us with drinks and nibbles... I'd totally recommend Hale + Mary to anyone looking for a place to catch up with friends in a great atmosphere. I'm looking forward to returning and checking out the breakfast menu! Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome!

Have been here a number of times, both for quiet meals/drinks and big functions and it's always been a great night. The staff are all friendly and very accommodating and the kitchen has got to be one of the best for 'fancy pub meals' in Canberra - whoever designed that menu should win an award (seriously, the Hale + Mary Burger is unreal!). Would (and have) recommend!

Great place for an afternoon pint! A chill place to grab an afternoon pint. Even better, come on Mondays to Thursdays between 4-6pm and it’s happy hour where all tap beers and house wines are $5! I missed those hours but Hale + Mary is still a pretty nice place to hang out and people watch or just chill. A pint (during non-happy hours) is $10-$13. Starters are at $8-$17; burgers are $18-$23; mains are $25-$35. There are also reasonably priced sharing platters.

I love the casual ambiance. There's multiple sports screens going at the same time to watch and chat with your friends while having a choice of beers. The menu is way under-rated for the size and quality. You can go here and bypass having an expensive restaurant meal. Good as an after business option.

Went for dinner with family. The pork belly was amazingly good. You need to remember to order sides with mains though. Good atmosphere, a little loud for my liking but thats to be expected at a sports bar. Will definitely eat here again

Had the ribs and a pint of pale ale. Staff were friendly and provided great service. Ribs were awesome. Melted in the mouth with great chips and coleslaw. Beer was icy cold. Walls covered in a few dozen screens showing many different sporting activities. Tuesday night had a nice buzz but not too quiet or too busy. Will definitely head back again.

Good food and friendly staff. Yummy menu and the fit out is fun. Location is perfect spot for a nice breakfast or afternoon drink and meal. Good if you like watching Sport of course too. Lot's of TV screens

Good place to have a beer and watch the footy. The ambiance in this bar is really easy going. It's a clean and bright place with high stools and wooden tables. The TVs are massive and they have a good range of beers on tap.
