Visited this place when we were on holidays in Canberra and we loved the ice cream selection. They had a good variety and there desserts were really pretty. Be sure to check out their dessert selections as well

Got their cheesecake take away and honestly one of the best cheesecakes I’ve had! Really creamy and strong cheese flavour while remaining smooth and not stodgy in the mouth. I love their crumb which tasted like it had some type of crushed nuts in it? Would come back again and try their other desserts!

I've visited here a few times and each time there is an amazing new flavour to try. Even there desserts are amazing. For me it's a must visit place whenever I am in Canberra. Read more here: thenailchronicle.com/2019/05/08/three-days-in-canberra-three-days-of-relaxation-part-2/

On a hot 38 degrees day, we really wanted ice cream to cool down, and chose Frugii based on reviews.

A small selection of flavours but they were absolutely beautiful, from the Christmas pudding gelato that really tasted like the real thing, and the freshness of pear gelato.

The cranberry and hibiscus was also well done however a little sweet for my palate.

Unsure of pricing of gelato in Canberra, as we’re visiting from interstate, however we thought $7 for two scoops was priced okay.

Also a great selection of ice creams on a stick, and even a gin & tonic on a stick.

Highly recommend a visit!

Great flavours and the ice-cream and sorbets were really smooth. Good value for money, just be careful with the lemonade and limeade as those are much stronger than you'd think they are.

They have the most unconventional flavours that makes me want to come back frequently and try a new one every time! However, their cardamom and salter caramel ice cream are still my all time favourites! I always enjoy grabbing a scoop on the go and would love to sit down and study there someday!

The lemon meringue choux is so yummy! The lemon has got the real lemony kick so refreshing. Love the Kaya Tart too, full of coconut flavour! Great lab results!

WOW. I went here because I was curious because they had such high reviews. I NOW UNDERSTAND WHY. Their black truffle ice cream is amazingly good!! I have no words but to encourage you to try it! My friend ordered a hot chocolate and a chocolate cookie and she agrees that she hasnt had anything like it. The staff (or i think i actually spoke to the owner 😍) was really helpful and nice to me too! I love everything about this place.

Frugii is the one-stop place for good quality ice creams. Never had an ice cream that is rich yet has a lingering taste in the mouth.

The Black Truffle ice cream deserves a special mention. Being in the winter season when the truffle hunt is on, having an awesome ice cream that is nothing like what you have ever tasted before is indeed satisfying. Even the Dark Chocolate ice cream was equally great. The bittersweet taste was spot on. I loved the combination.

Thanks to the staff of Frugii for a memorable ice cream-in-extreme-cold experience.

For unique and special desserts and iced treat flavours, you can't go past Frugii. Despite many previous visits to Braddon, the dessert parlour only became known to me by recommendation. It's located off the street within the Hive complex, the building that looks like, you guessed it, a beehive. An Australian outfit, Frugii develops their own ice cream flavours, and apart from the top three, all other flavours change frequently. The day we visited we tried the prickly pear, passionfruit and lemon myrtle. The choux desserts are out-of-this-world good and highly recommended.

A re-visit here yielded the same result...it was still amazing! The gelato/ice cream/sorbet menu flavours rotate on a daily basis and I had the good fortune of visiting twice and seeing their winter special of Black Truffle. The first time I paired it with Vanilla Bean. It had a lovely creamy texture and the flavour was intense. The second time I had a double scoop of the Black Truffle as it was so good. I had the Hazelnut + Chocolate Choux as well. It was a crisp exterior with a creamy hazelnut chocolate custardy filling.

Delicious desserts - particularly liked the coconut cream popsicle which had a really soft, mousse texture. The choux pastry with hazelnut custard had a cute little pipette filled with frangelico too. Tasted like a pastry version of a Ferrero Rocher. The New York cheesecake was dense and creamy, with a nice crust. A great spot for sweets and coffee.

Whilst Frugii might not have as many flavours as some ice creameries, the flavours they do serve are unique and delicious. They have several gluten free and dairy free options, as well as small desserts. They're open quite late (11pm) on Friday nights which is perfect for after dinner desserts. Definitely worth a try. We tried the red peach (super tasty) and mango flavours. The mango was easily the best we've tried.

Frugi is a family owned business in Braddon, Canberra. It was recommended to us by a few people who’d visited. It is a dessert store, which makes all of their ice cream, gelato, cakes and chocolate from scratch. Ice creams can be bought in waffle cones, cups, or in take-away tubs. They also have ice cream sticks other desserts like semifreddo and parfait. Flavours change daily but on our visit there was salted caramel, vanilla bean, dark chocolate, chocolate macaron, rosewater, soursop, raspberry, and the flavour we chose - black truffle in vanilla. We got it in a cup, and it was nice and creamy with a good hint of truffle. Very enjoyable!

We experienced Frugii for the first time last night, and we are already looking forward to going back! There were four of us in our group, and there was a unanimous decision that this is the best ice cream we’d ever had. I had the coconut cream ice cream on a stick and also tried the salted caramel, double chocolate and spearmint flavours which incredible. The spearmint flavour reminded me of toothpaste but it was surprisingly delicious! The staff were engaging and we also had coffees and a hot chocolate which was also very good. Frugii was in a foyer surrounded by other wonderful stores including an artisan chocolate shop with a gorgeous display window, a timber themed homewares store, an anime shop and jewellery store. These were closed because we went on a Sunday night but it’s somewhere I will take interstate visitors from now on.

Cool little dessert bar tucked away in a cluster of hip foodie shops in Braddon. Has a good selection of interesting desserts and ice creams. I had the lemon meringue puff and the custard was very flavoursome. Can’t wait to try all the other desserts.

One of my favourite dessert places in Canberra. The staff are friendly and helpful. I like that they always change up the flavours and aren’t overly sweet like Messina. I had the malt and gingerbread flavours this time and wasn’t disappointed. My favourite is still the truffle flavour!

Delicious dessert bar with a mix of traditional flavours and interesting mashups. The gelato was amazing and full of flavour. Definitely reccomend visiting this place for dessert even on a cold Canberra night!

Truly phenomenal dessert and so many options! Catered to dietary requirements really well, the range even for gluten free and dairy free is brilliant! Staff were friendly, there were plenty of places to sit and the relaxed atmosphere meant time flew by!!!
