Was here on a Saturday night, staff are very friendly and always smiling, great atmosphere! place has a homely feel to it.
I think the social combination broken rice is one of the better ones in Canberra and the soup is delicious and compliments the dish well!! My partner got the vermicelli bowl who also enjoyed it very much.
The salt and pepper fried tofu was probably a little disappointing but apart from that the restaurant is still definitely worth a visit if you are in the mood for Vietnamese food

Pho was quite good, nice quantity of beef. Soup was a touch on the sweet side but still nice. Vermicelli salad was fresh, pork was tasty and good quantity. Would have preferred greener lettuce as opposed to iceberg but minor point. Price was very reasonable and service was excellent. Overall will return.

Food was nice and staff were friendly until it came time to pay the bill. Now, I wasn’t aware we were still living in 1996. I thought in 2022 when you went out with a group of 6 people you could easily split the bill, but no, I was mistaken. Nothing worse than not having seen a bunch of people for 12 months then having to awkwardly work out who’s going to foot the entire bill on their credit card while everyone else scrambles for cash. Listen, there is absolutely no good reason you cannot split the bill. What if we had all come in and sat on separate tables?

The staff were really nice but the food is only ok. The pho broth was served close to room temperature and seemed to lack flavour. The rice paper rolls also seemed a bit stale. The Viet coffee was nice though.
Quick service at lunchtime. Clean restaurant.

We came across this restaurant on visiting Woden Plaza after almost 6 years. So many changes and new restaurants along Keltie St. We were pleased to see variety choices of Beef Phõ, which my husband and elder son immediately ordered Phõ Tai Sat and Phõ Dac Biet. I decided to try out their Bun Bo Hué, while my younger boy ordered the special combination broken rice with pork chop. We also ordered a serve of spring rolls.
Service was ok though could be improved with a smile. Phõ and broken rice tasted good tho my bun bo hue was a bit too oily - I felt I was drinking oil rather than soup. For the size of bowls and price, I was disappointed that meat slices and bits were insufficient. I have eaten at other restaurants and normally find I am unable to finish my noodles and meat, but it was the other way around at Viet Nam House.
Still, a reasonably good variety of Vietnamese dishes to try out if you are at Woden and crave some hot soupy broth.

This has been my family go to, favourite, local, cheap, and convenient restaurant for years. They deliver top notch quality dishes! We just had a delicious BBQ pork Bahn mi and I look forward to the colder months for their incredible Pho 😋 Thank you Vietnam House!

Always ordered pho and vermicelli salad with beef. All good untill the other day tried a stir fry with seafood. For $22, practically all vegetables, and portion is small.

We often pop in here for lunch when we're southside and it never disappoints. I love Vietnamese food so maybe I'm biased but have never had an indifferent meal here ever. The staff are friendly and helpful and I love the busy, street/restaurant vibe. The grilled fish, dill and vermicelli is my absolute favourite but I do try and have something different occasionally. HUGE thumbs up to the Vietnam House, Woden.

Friendly service, tasty food and pleasant atmosphere. Had the pork chop with broken rice and hubby had a crispy chicken egg noodle soup. Will return to this restaurant.

The soup tasted alright but the rice was dry and boring! My husband had something that was supposed to be beef was was definitely questionable! Would not recommend! We aren't people to leave food on our plates yet we left with only a few spoonfuls taken out of each dish! Was a bit dirty too! The glass water bottles they put of the table had mould on the bottom! Was disgusting!

Vietnam House on the restaurant strip of the Westfield Mall in Woden is very popular for lunch on weekdays. Most diners are ordering noodle soups which are a great choice for a cold day. Pho Tai – rare beef noodle soup $12.50 small ($13.50) comes with accompaniments. Pho Ga – Chicken noodle soup $13.50 small ($14.30 large) is an alternative

Really love this little place! The service is always really super friendly and the food is always fresh and fast. I love the Pho and the grilled pork ball noodle salad with spring rolls. They make a great refreshing fresh lemon soda as well..

This place has it all, and has recently been improved by turning the outside wall into doors that open up to the outside. My kid always wants to come here for tomato rice and coconut juice.
