Review Two Sisters Lao Thai Cuisine - Canberra

Found hair in the chicken soup broth. Soup was remade however not a good first impression. Pad Thai was too sweet and duck with snow peas unfortunately was very average. Service was brilliant and the main reason for the second star.

Food was tasty, although the building did smell kinda bad. However, the staff were super friendly and even showed us how they fold there napkins into flowers when we asked.

The Thai food was very average. The quantity of food is not valued for money like other places around the area. The soft drinks were flat. And the vibe of the food felt like left overs being warmed up on our plate. Would give 2 star, but the service warranted a extra star. Sugi was a devoted customer. Now his upset.

Ordered the Singapore noodles combination. Tasted like something wasn't right but are it anyway. 4 hours later for the next 7 hours was alternating between toilet and basin. Would not recommend.

Disgusting. As I was waiting for my food a huge rat ran across the restaurant and jumped on one of the chairs, I was so shocked, immediately had an uneasy feeling. Besides getting my order wrong, (gave me the wrong sauce) the fish was not fresh and stank fishy my whole was home. I knew something was off. The fish was bland without sauce so tried to have it with the sauce they gave me but it wasn't doable because it was so fishy smelling. Thought I would just eat the rice and even that was over cooked and one big lump in the container. If you can't do rice properly... I don't know what to say to you. I ended up throwing it all out. Such a waste of money and food. I lost my appetite completely. Never going back, the rat was just too much. I've travelled to poorer countries where restaurants aren't necessarily up to Australian standards and am aware that many restaurants have some form of vermin nearby, but this is unacceptable in your dining room, The place was empty except one family. That should have tipped me off to not go in there.

Wanted something to warm me up on a cold winter evening and decided to try their laksa. I didn't know what to expect as I didn't think that laksa was a Thai dish. The food was delicious though and I wasn't disappointed. I had the seafood laksa and the seafood serving was generous. The soup/broth was pretty thick (much thicker than what I would expect) but it was very good.

Excellent (slightly westernised) Thai food. The Tom Kha Gai is sublime and the curry puffs light and delicate. Clean with friendly staff. Not too busy. Recommended.

Fast meal with friends before the theatre. Food was tasty but the venue has seen better days. Really if you want cheap and cheerful you cant go wrong. The curry was wonderful.

Duck salad for lunch at Two Sisters Thai. Favourite dish for me 😍 Bright and fresh from the herbs 🌱 crunchy fresh salad 🥗 plenty of duck 🦆 not too heavy but still satisfying 😋 Glad I asked for mild though because my mouth was on fire 😱🔥

Two Sisters has moved their Kambah restaurant to the old home of Zen Yai and given the decor a nice refresh. In their new London Circuit location, Two Sisters has some excellent dishes on the menu. The Lao Sausages $17.90 were so good we had to order another plate. They make the perfect entree to share.

The Tom yum gong tasted pretty good. Not diluted like most thai places. The stir fry chicken with basil was a tad bit oily but not a major problem. Good food overall.
