Review Subway - Canberra

Roy Barron
Despite the same price for both, salad bowls and subs are NOT meant to have the same amount of salad as each other. Given a sub has bread and a salad bowl doesn’t, you should at least be trying to fill the container up with salad to make it as close to the equivalent food/volume of a sub to make it worth buying. This time around, they didn’t even have carrot or spinach. So 12 bucks for about 1 dollar worth of chicken and a tiny bit of salad doesn’t cut it. I’ve been a regular here for about 3 years but this will be my last visit, which is a shame because the owner is a super nice guy. Time to spend my money elsewhere.

Got a salad, they don’t mix the salad like they do in other Subways. Disappointing. Quantity they give way less to what I actually get in other subways.

Service was great considering I went during rush times.

Came in on a Saturday morning and boy was there a line, Freda was by herself and despite having to serve 10 customers by herself, she had a big smile and provided swift quality service! Definitely my Subway place to go!

Its a franchise so you know the food will be ok. I work in the city and I've been here a couple of times. It's always busy and despite the quickness of the staff you can't avoid waiting in line. Maybe my personal experience, but I've noticed my subs aren't well prepared. For example, not enough cheese when you ask for cheese or avocado. Otherwise, a good place to eat.

Honest, hardworking, friendly store that reliably fills orders to satisfaction. Staff are always happy to rectify any issues should they occur, and are typically happy to oblige requests for more or less fillings. The owner treats their customers with kindness and a welcome familiarity.
