Review O'connor Cafe - Canberra

Average cafe. Inside is pretty dingy and bland. Regular milk coffee is average, their almond milk had separated in the almond Cappuccino. Limited breakfast menu in terms of options and variety. Price is above the quality as well. The conquistador roll is very heavy on the meat and the fried eggs were overdone.

Poor service, I asked chilli, she just gave me 4 pieces, then I asked more she gives 2 pieces, then give me this old chilli container with just few left inside, won't recommend for anyone to try, really won't come back again. I heard the owner complain about the customers at the back.

Terrible coffee, and you expect a decent barista at $4.30 for a piccolo. Absolutely awful service. I was sitting outside with my coffee at a shared table (surrounded by six empty tables, I was one of two customers). A new customer arrived and was brought out by the wait staff, who asked me to move to another table, so this customer could have my table. The new customer was mortified, and said they didn’t need my table, we were both perplexed. I packed up my things and left. Will not be going back. It’s predecessor 39 steps was 100 times better. Haven’t felt so unwelcome in a cafe in my life.

HORRIBLE CAFE! very very VERY disappointing. This cafe used to be amazing, it really was a hidden gem in Canberra - delicious food, great coffee, good value for money and absolutely wonderful costumer service. I have been raving on about how amazing the cafe was and just organised a brekkie there with my sister... I feel so embarrassed to take her there after this experience and so disappointed as I did not realize the cafe was now under new management. The costumer service was horrible, as it was very quiet and staff did not attend to us.. had to go in to order food and get water. Poor quality food - was supposed to have sourdough bread in my meal yet they gave me white bread, eggs were dry and overcooked, no salt or pepper were provided. Afterwards, my partner and I have both experienced stomach pains. overpriced for very poor standard of food and costumer service. I am extremely disappointed in this cafe. Would never visit again.

What the heck....I couldn’t even drink my coffee (and I will drink almost anything to get my caffeine fix). Not sure whats going on here. Don’t ignore the reviews, don’t bother wasting your time or money (also the most expensive awful coffee I have ever had). Then, as an extra insult to injury (I kid you not), as we were leaving, we witnessed one of the staff DRINKING from the silver milk jug (used for warming milk) behind the counter. Perhaps she has her own “milk jug” set aside for personal consumption. Regardless, all I know was this raised serious red flags as to the level of health and safety within this establishment. Will not be coming back.

I go everyday for the lovely coffee the staff are awesome always feel welcome, they have a great menu and always busy but quick service. Cafe now looks lovely and clean not like before with last owners it was very dirty and not run properly by different staff each day, now highly recommend.

It is really bad. I don't know where to begin but the customer service lady and the food and then the strange atmosphere, but what really stuck out was that the little lady serving me she didn't give me chopsticks because she thought I couldn't use them but I let it pass and decided to feed cause I was hungry then I ask for some chilli sauce which she brings from another table and pours it herself on my pho and then takes it away. That just left me speechless and I decideded to finish my overpriced meal and left there without a word. I will never return and that is a bizzare cafe.

Charge me more money, and no details in the receipt. When I calculate the money I front of the staff, she give the money back and blame me I should checking receipt early. Plus she force me to order the most expensive meal as breakfast orally. Plus the toast served smells like raw fish, which is disgusting. Used to be there 1 year ago. Now everything changed.
