Little Hong Kong House has been around for ages but I just only recently ordered delivery from them. Conclusion? Should have done it sooner.
The salted fish, chicken and taro clay pot had amazing depth of flavour. The sauce went extremely well with rice, and everything was cooked beautifully. The bitter melon with pork slices was also executed well. Tender pork slices, and great flavours.
The bean curd jelly hit the spot. The brown sugar and ginger syrup had a real kick to it, and the soft and silky bean curd was so easy to it. A great end to a delicious meal.
Ltle HK House is now our favourite Chinese restaurant. We ordered takeaway twice in 2 weeks and were completely satisfied with our dishes of: black bean beef, spicy salt fish, ginger fish, scallops, prawn toast, and to top it off, the dessert Tofu was the best I have tasted!
The staff are friendly and the place clean.

U Ma Mi!!!!
A nice eatery in Clayton. Its more to Cantonese cooking instead of HongKong cafe food. Serve very good heartwarming food. This place is clean with the lady boss and the boss running the kitchen personally. :) Generous portion too for such decent price.
MUST ORDER their dessert. Esp the soft tofu curd with sweet ginger sauce. OMG #mindblown. Ginger is good to warm the body and soul esp in such cold rainy weather. They do fresh glutinous balls dessert, mango pudding and also coconut pudding.
Food to order
Hainanese Chicken (seasonal)
Salted egg x Chicken Spareribs
Braised Pork Knuckle
Chicken Claypot Yam
Claypot Beef Brisket
Kangkong Stir Fry (Seasonal)
Beef Porridge
And lots more .....
We've been eating here on and off for about 5 years. If we had to choose among the shops along Princess hwy near Clayton road and near the 7/11 we would go here every time. The ingredients have always been fresh and they don't do anything weird with the flavours. The owner used to own a store in South Yarra she is very friendly, knows how to run a takeaway in Australia and will make you feel welcome.
The unassuming assassin ... Handmade Tofu.
I can't believe the length of the Menu in this place, don't forget to check out the walls too.
Amazing work by Mama chef from the semi-opened kitchen; taste and quality especially for what they are charging, A+ Tofu dishes.
Still busy close to 22:00 eventhough nothing much with the interior nor service, order and pay.
Their Tofu dessert deserves 4.5/5
Worth the trip to Clayton.
Amazing delicious food. The lady owner very friendly, attentive and helpful. Such a delight to have lunch here. Definitely will keep coming back to try other dishes
Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff - it felt like being back in HK, being greeted by the friendly owner and smelling the cooking claypot rice and noodles from the kitchen!
The beef brisket claypot is delicious - really well seasoned and falls apart! The black bean pork rib claypot was also tasty but the bones (obviously) made it a bit more tedious to eat.
We also got the Kang choy fried in garlic which was perfectly cooked and completed the meal.
10/10, best Claypot I've had in ages and a really cozy setting to enjoy it in!
A hidden gem in Clayton. This resto, famous or its claypot dishes, offering great selection of Southern Chinese food.
I like the food as these are delucious and not too salty as we often found in other Chinese restos.
The price is quite inexpensive perhaps the main customers are Monash Uni's students.
The owner is very friendly. In summary, highly recommended.
Ever since trying this place for the first time my boyfriend and I have come every week, sometimes multiple times a week for meals. The food is delicious and the owner is so friendly. Our favourites are the chicken and mushroom clay pot rice, teriyaki chicken noodles with handmade noodle, and beef fried noodle.
There is a 1 star review down below complaining about the fried noodle being a bit burnt and saying that the owners lied that this is the way it’s meant to be. The person who wrote that review has absolutely no idea what they’re talking about because this is exactly how crispy fried noodle should be. It’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and you mix it with the sauce. You can tell it’s properly cooked in the pan and not deep fried like some restaurants do - hence the slightly burnt bits. This place cooks it perfectly and it is our usual order. Really dislike reviewers tarnish restaurants when they have no idea.
Bottom line is you have to try this place, it’s cheap, delicious, great portion sizes and service. Sometime you do have to wait as it is just a husband and a wife so if you don’t like waiting then avoid peak times but it is well worth the wait.
Thanks again!
Came here to try the claypot and it did not disappoint. Tasty and full of flavour. Prices were reasonable and the owners were just lovely. No frills but worth the visit. We'll definitely be back!
