Came here with a group of friends and was blown away by the service, food, and especially the coffee! Kyle the barista makes some of the best coffee in the area!
The chilli scrambled eggs were amazing! Definitely recommend them.

Do you ever really want to love a place that seems determined to disappoint?
I went to A Girl Called Jayne after reading Suzie Scribbles review for a very late breakfast. After being told to take a seat I had to wait just too long for service although the waiter who served me was attentive and friendly. The coffee was great and my food arrived quick enough. Unfortunately my poached egg was overcooked and the waiter was more than happy to ask the kitchen for a fresh one, no use crying over cooked eggs! So I waited.
And waited. 15 minutes.
The waiter was very apologetic although it wasn't his fault and they did comp my coffee which was nice.
Once my egg arrived my breakfast (Greens with a poached egg) was really delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed it, although they could have gone heavier on the veg (broccoli) and easier on the rocket.
I went in to pay and the woman who served me apologised again for the egg, and proceeded to tell me that a lot of people like it cooked all the way through. True, but since when is it not standard to serve poached eggs runny? I don't have a problem with a mistake but don't try to make excuses and tell me I'm the problem.
I'll definitely give this spot another chance. Being new I'm sure there are some minor teething problems but overall the food was delicious and my coffee was great. The surrounding cafes should definitely look out!
Stumbled into this little Gem the other day thinking it was still the turtle cafe.
Such an improvement, and also an uplifting vibrant atmosphere on show as well.
I placed myself in the hands of the cafe manGer as she recommended the salmon. My girlfriend went straight for the eggs and sausages. Both dishes were elegant and full of flavour in the way cafe and breakfast dishes should be. The standards in food here must have all taken a giant lift. We both really enjoyed our dishes and were delighted to hear that they do dinner as well. We are looking forward to getting involved on an evening scale as well. Well done guys. This is just what Elwood has been screaming for .
