I've been here a few times as I love their croissants so much especially the Almond croissant. However you have to get in there at the right time as lines can get crazy long!! Love the industrial feel inside the shop, and always amazes how they make it. It literally is about the science of crunch! Would seriously compare the crunch and quality of croissants are similar to those I tasted in France! Impressive!

Great news for Lune fans like me because Lune is now delivering viennoiserie to selected suburbs on a rotating basis during this lockdown! Receiving a box of Lune viennoiserie is more exciting than receiving a pot of gold😂

I ordered the:
Ham & gruyere croissant
Pain au Chocolat
Lemon curd cruffin
Kaya cruffin
Almond crossaint

All of them were beautiful, flaky and crunchy. The ham & gruyere was cheesy and savoury. The lemon curd cruffin had beautiful crunchy layers on the outside and was buttery ans pillowy soft on the inside. I loved the lemon curd and wanted more! The kaya cruffin was on special and it was also amazing. The kaya was smooth and aromatic though I wanted more of a pandan flavour. The pain au chocolat was crunchy and had lovely dark bitter notes of chocolate in it and the almond crossaint was possibly the most almondey crossaint I have ever had in my life. Can’t wait for them to deliver to my suburb again!

I have no doubts for their title for the best bakery in all of Melbourne. You will never see such flakiness on a croissant or pastry anywhere but at Lune Croissanterie. They serve a beautiful array of high quality baked pastry. There is no way one can turn away from the aroma of freshly baked goods here.

Definitely recommend to grab 2 croissants, 1 sweet, 1 savoury, with a cup of coffee - you can thank me later. Despite the hefty price of $6 for a croissant, you have to try it before you can justify.

I always come here for the TWICE baked Almond Croissant and Traditional Croissant. It tastes as appealing as it looks. If you are looking for a rollercoaster of flavour and texture, the Almond Croissant ticks all the boxes. It is crumbly, buttery and filled with almond butter.

After trying the Ham & Gruyere Croissant, you'd never want to go back to a regular ham and cheese toast. Definitely recommend if you're going for something savoury.

I ordered a Blueberry Custard Cruffin that is no longer on their menu but I still reminisce about. The not too sweet custard melts in your mouth, contrasted by the buttery flaky crispy pastry, finished off with the burst of blueberry. The cream inside of the shell of pastry was like opening a treasure box.

Ordered croissants from Lune 3 times now and it never disappoints! Despite the hefty price tag of over $10 for a croissant, the quality in how much filling there is and in the actual croissant itself makes it worthwhile. I’ve tried the almond, apple and mocha croissant which have all been amazing and I would definitely re-order. The only disappointment I’ve had is the limited kaya cruffin which just didn’t appeal to me as a pastry and the filling lacked depth in kaya flavour. Overall an amazing place for croissants, a must try!

There’s a reason why Lune is rated so highly. These are the best croissants I’ve ever had - I can’t look at supermarket croissants the same way ever again! I tried the famous twice baked almond croissant and the pumpkin and feta escargot. The escargot was light but packed full of flavour. It wasn’t as pumpkin-y as I thought it would be, which is how I preferred it anyway! Whilst it was delicious, it didn’t compare to the almond croissant. Incredibly crispy, buttery and filled with almond butter, it was so delicious I didn’t want to finish it. We wished there was a place to sit and enjoy the croissants but unfortunately due to COVID-19 safety practices this wasn’t possible. I’ll definitely be back after this blows over so that I can sit and immerse myself in the experience Lune offers. If you’re contemplating coming here but you’re sceptical about the prices vs quality, I can assure you: you get what you pay for.

Once you go here, you’ll never want a croissant from from anywhere else! Hands down the best croissants in Melbourne. Perfectly baked so that the pastry is crispy on top but buttery and soft in the middle.
Secret tip: go early, before it gets busy so you don’t miss out!

Hands down best crossionts in Melbourne cannot be beaten. So initially I tired the choc chip one on my first visit which was amazing if your after a chocolate fix it is amazing and so rich in flavour. I then went back on my second visit and had the macadamia which I loved and was very unique as I've never had a macadamia one and lastly today I had to go back to get the almond one which was also amazing. The flour and technique used is so many layers and perfectly crisp with amazing filling. So my favorite is the macadamia but honestly all are sssssooooo good. Oh and might i add i also llllloooovvvveeedddd the jam and cream (in photo) that was sensational and very nice surprise in the middle with the jam and cream. Perfect amount of filling and crisp on outside. Absolutely delicious!!!

Joined the queue today early enough to secure a lemon curd cruffin from Lune. We’ve been a little later in the day and found it seems to sell out quite quickly so glad we got up for our morning walk. Without a doubt our favourite place for pastry. They serve Mörk hot chocolate which works so well with oat milk and their plain croissant is another goodie.

the croissant itself was AMAZING. i ate one flake that fell off before i tasted anything else and it was really buttery and yum. the ham and gruyere itself though, was a little underwhelming (the cheese and ham inside could be better). however, the chocolate pistachio croissant was to die for!!

These croissants are to die for, with so many flavours to choose from.
The only problem is, you have to get there early or you have to line up to get a croissant.
All I can say is YUMMY.

Great day today! Managed to park right outside and pop in here for a plate of delicious croissants! The lemon curd and the almond were amazing. Free self serve very well chilled still or sparkling water. Coffees could be better. Good timing too at 1030. Huge queue after we sat down. Staff member Ben was charming and helpful.

Cool place for some croissants fix. Large space, modern industrial designed restaurant with open kitchen. Best to be here early to avoid long queue! Beautiful layering seem in their croissants. Photo attached. Recommended.

Well if you have never had your mind blown using a croissant, do yourself a favor and visit Lune. Absolute stunning presentation, interior design and quality of the food. I cannot rememeber the coffee quality as all my brain cells were busy calibrating to the taste of pastry and all my taste buds were astonished by the food. Well worth the wait in the queue.

Wow! Well deserved title for World’s best croissant! Coffee there is also very good. If you can go to the Fitzroy branch do that- the architecture and the cafe experience is worth heading over there.

Need no say more, their pastry, croissants, cruffins and coffees are just exceptional. Their monthly specials are always attractive and as good as their regular items. It is always difficult to pick my favourite.

There is no doubt that the reputation of an establishment can have an impact on expectations, quality of service, and quality of goods sold. Upon arriving we were greeted with an 18 minute wait in the line just to order - an ode to this establishment’s popularity. The Lemon Curd was good, but not great. The texture left a lot to be desired and the flavour profile presented itself as more of a mediator if anything at all. 7/10 The Pain Au Chocolat, however, was excellent. The croissant was consistently textured and the flavour of the pastry was a definitive highlight. The pastries definitely shine in comparison to other baked goods. 9/10 If going to Lune, the croissants are a definitive order. However, be aware of the waiting times and consider if it is worth the wait. Also be aware this establishment only accepts cashless payment options.
