Napier Quarter got me interested via their lovely Instagram pics. We dropped in on Sunday for a quick breakfast. I’ve always loved Napier Street; so many trees. Lovely little tables on the footpath. We both had the half bagel with cucumber, cream cheese, roe and dill. Unbeatable combination. Unfortunately, they do not serve soy milk so I put up with oat milk (I think) with my coffee, which was bearable, just. Not bad enough to put me off the delicious food, thankfully. The wait staff were also lovely. I know they have a fabulous chef back in that kitchen. Really looking forward to returning.
Visited Napier Quarter for breakfast with my family and it was love at first bite! The meals were so simple and delicate, yet there were amazing bursts of flavor with every mouthful. I cannot wait to try dinner here sometime soon in the very near future.
Came on the Sunday arvo and it is full! Tiny shop with not many tables but a really good vibe.
Ordered the pasta, and it was really good, full of flavours. Only complain is with $28 the portion is a bit small. Friend had the toast with anchovy and it was yummy too. I ordered a little cake to avoid leaving hungry lol Wine options are great too!
Very cute place! Pretty romantic actually with those candlelight’s. Good service and our dinner was lovely. The only thing you are driving to this area, really hard to get a car park near by.
A cafe/restaurant that (unapologetically) doesn't serve avocado in any form?
They also don't do takeaway coffee?
...And the menu is only, like, 8 items?
This place knows exactly what it wants to say and do, and it does it all without apologizing to a public that has become accustomed to getting what it wants when it wants it.
The food is deceptively simple looking - though there is clearly solid technique behind everything that is served.
My hat is off to Napier Quarter. Please, keep doing what you are doing. Melbourne does not need another avocado and fairy-floss covered cafe.
Shouldn’t give away my secrets but this is a local of mine. Beautiful fresh breads and pastries from loafer. Great coffee. A nice rotating menu and a cute and slightly quirky wine list. Always friendly staff; and the outdoor tables are just in the right spot to catch the morning sun from about 9 and read a paper. Just don’t steal my table.
A quaint cozy local restaurant serving great variety of wines (rotating quite frequently), tasty nibbles of cheese and charcuterie, and delicious food with fresh and simple ingredients. Always great vibes dining or having drinks here! Highly recommended!
Pastries and cakes. Go for the bomboloni, almond croissant and pear tart. Limited seating, staff are friendly and helpful even when they are busy.
Tonight however there was more wine drinking to be done over at Napier Quarter.
On a beautiful warm early summer evening, Napier Quarter’s tiny outdoor tables are worth the compromise. A more traditional, but still creative, wine list allowed us to go back to our favoured varieties. We had whiled away the early evening and were approaching sundown, so it was time to order more substantially.
Cute little hidden gem! First visit was why we came the second. Menu changes regularly but always something yum and their pastry cabinet are always looking yum! Porridge first time was amazing!! Second time partner had the meat and eggs with Turkish and I had omelette, only issue was too much pepper on the new omelette (new that day) but they were grateful for the feedback as some of us hate pepper. Great coffee and will be back again!
Minus points for no non-dairy milk which is my least favourite cafe trend but extra, extra points for the amazing anchovy toast. It’s beloved for a reason - by far one of the best light brunches around. I also enjoy the wine list.
Always a nice place to dine at. Extensive wine choices.
Staff has excellent wine knowledge and is attentive.
Menu is impressive with seasonal changes, delicate flavours with beautiful presentation.
Perfect for a cute afternoon catch-up, casual date night or just chill on your own people watching at the curb side table.
Very cute place, pretty and romantic. Our dinner was lovely. Staff was so helpful and attentive. It’s really hard to get a car park nearby if you are driving to this area.
Last time I was here was 3 years ago for a dinner.
Today I decided to come here for lunch :)
It was a beautiful day to sit outside. Great recommendations for the wines. Service was excellent ..
I love our lunch today .. all so tasty and delicious. However, the portions were so small .. Good to try though ..
Love this place. So chic! Was a nice sunny afternoon perfectly spent on a Melbourne Tuesday with a glass of red and some flavour packed nibbles.
Dinner at Napier Quarter was superb. We sat outside and received friendly and attentive service. The wine was amazing - we asked for recommendations and our waiter listened to us so well. We had the raw fish, tomato and burrata salad and the pasta. Small sharing size dishes which left us feeling full and delighted. Can highly recommend!
This is one of the amazing restaurant i have ever been to, it’s look tiny and chill from the front. The weather is great, sunny and we are sitting under the shed. Sooo cool~
food was amzing, the entree is Anchovy with basil oil and egg on bread, yummy~
Roasted lamb is tender and full of flavours, and the potato salad are nice as a side. It’s pretty refreshing.
Great atmosphere and fantastic service. The food selection was okay, but the drinks were excellent. Would come back with a small group!
