I love Dosas and whenever I have cravings for it or something something spicy and salty I can't stop myself from eating at Dosa hut footscray.I really like their food and service.It has become my favourite hang out place with my friends and family.I highly recommend this place to all.one must try at least once and you will be in love with this place I swear.
Went there with friends to celebrate independence day! Beautiful place, amazing and friendly staff! Yummy food! And sooo sweet of them to serve us complimentary lindtchocodosa! Amazing gesture by all the staff! Will surely recommend to everyone!

We tried Dosa Hut and had the briyani, garlic naan, butter chicken and they were really yummy.

This is just the place for warm comfort food that leave you with the feeling of being home.We went back here again a second time and can't wait to add this to our list of restaurants to frequent. It’s casual relaxed ambiance. We ordered goat biryani as main, ginger chicken, crispy goat, gobi manchurian, chicken 65 as entre. The food was delicious and flavourful. The service was good. It was overall a nice evening with 5 friends and good food.
Great sour Indian food. My favourite is chicken biryani. Extremely fast service and with customer service team. Also loved the 70mm dosa. Must go place

My score 4 stars. J & I had a late Saturday lunch at DH WF in early Aug. Quirky interior was interesting & looked comfortable & “lived in”. Ambience was good & the place was full of people – always a good sign so far past the lunch rush. Staff were plentiful & friendly - we were seated & given a bottle of water (& paper cups) promptly. Never had dosas before, so didn’t know what exactly to expect. Number of dishes available is huge, so menu is a bit overwhelming & not very descriptive (if it was it would be 10 pages long)! We had a Vego biryani & Chef's special dosa. The dosa had 4 fillings (2 vego/2 meat) which blended into each other slightly & made it hard for J to avoid the meaty bits. It came with 3 dipping sauces - a red spicy one which was too vinegary IMO, a cooling creamy one (nice) & a veg curry/dal-like one (the best - J agreed). I liked the dish, but didn’t think it was terribly filling – maybe better to come mid-week & add their $1 dosa. The biryani was good & more filling than the dosa. From reading previous reviews, we probably should have tried the samosas too.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to dine at Dosa Hut in Footscray. A chain store of authentic South Indian cuisine in Melbourne and now in other states too. The staff curated a variety of Indo-Chinese and South Indian dishes to try. They were all really tasty and filling. My highlights were the crispy goat and the samosas. We definitely had more than enough food and drinks for the two of us and left very satisfied.

Really impressed with the amount of flavour in the delicious dishes we ordered at Dosa Hut in West Footscray. The two highlights were the Crispy Goat and the Chef’s Special Dosa. The Crispy Goat which the staff recommended, was like nothing I had eaten before. A delicious salty, savoury coating, crispy yet at the same time melt in your mouth delicious. The Chef’s Special Dosa came with paneer, masala, chicken and lamb, so you could try a bit of everything with the lovely light, freshly cooked dosa. Will definitely return!!
Dosa Hut is a great little Indian eatery in West Footscray. Service is super attentive and friendly. Menu is extensive and can cater for all tastes. Food is reasonably priced and full of flavour. Some of the best dosa I’ve had in Melbourne!. Loved these light and crispy puri full of a tasty sauce. Great start to the meal!
We ordered Goat Biryani, Schezwan Fried Rice and Chilli Chicken. Biryani was satisfactory but we loved fried rice and chicken. This restaurant is perfect for Indianized Chinese dishes 👌🏼

This branch on Barkly St in West Footscray is one of many outlets of this chain of Indian restaurants. The place is clean and unassuming. Parking onstreet can be a challenge particularly during dinner time. Good spread available from their menu. This time we ordered gobi briyani with samosa chat as entree. Both are tasty. Service is friendly although during to the busy dinner time, they are stretched and we have to get their attention.
