I looked at the menu on line and thought that there wasn't much there to interest me but I was wrong
The coffee was perfect and the food sublime. Such crazy flavors - my mouth was alive - polenta waffles with crispy fried chicken, maple syrup and jalapeño peppers (OMG) plus corn bread and smashed avocado with poached eggs and fresh 🌶 🌶 - truly couldn't tell which dish was my favorite - I'd recommend MSL and give it a big thumbs up!!
The coffee was really nice. Ordered few times for take away and couple times dine in. Didn’t disappointed with their coffee at all. The food selection just needs a bit more variety, but overall was great experience
5 stars for excellent food, coffee, service and portions. In fact portions were too huge. The pumpkin salad was surprisingly delicious, despite how bland it looked on appearance. Would recommend.
Busy little cafe. And totally understandable why. Food is amazing. Had the beef brisket with roasted potatoes and poached egg. Generous portions and amazing flavours but definitely on the pricey end of the brunch scale.
Coffee was really flavourful and piping hot which is how i like it.
Vibrant atmosphere and very nice internal decor.
We went to the new May street @ the mezz and LOVED it. The food was brilliant to every last bite, the service was fantastic & the kids play area made enjoying our meal possible. Great location with an outdoor and indoor play area and with comfortable seating outside under the trees. We will definitely go back.
Had not been back for a while. Different owners. Poke bowl was lovely, crunchy and smooth, with different textures and colours. The waffle maple syrup chicken was good. We liked the peppers. The mixed juice was nice but a bit small. The flat white coffee was fine. Did like the walnut brownie.
Overall yummy
Location wise it’s a smack bang on Canning Highway and not a lot of parking but the cafe itself is on point! Interiors are lovely - very fresh with a relaxed vibe. Possibly book if you can because very busy! Large menu - heaps of brekky options and some all day brunch options. Try the cold brew - it’s delish. Almost nutty and chocolatey! Tried the Folded Egg dish - super tasty. A little salty for my liking but nice all the same. Eggs were cooked very well. Liked the addition of the asparagus. Great vibes.
Great food and great service. The Soul sandwich is my favourite but everything we have tried has been excellent. One of the best breakfasts in Perth.
Free parking, adequate service, cute interior, great food!
We ordered the fried chicken burger and the beef brisket potato hash
The burger looked avg but tasted AMAZING
Loved the cute little frames and little details of the interior
They had a good selection of cabinet foods too which is nice to see
Chilled or sparkling water on tap was a nice touch
Will definitely be back!
Lovely place. Plenty of space and good coffee.
The breakfast burrito was a good idea, tasted ok but didn’t taste very fresh, the wilted parsley on top maybe didn’t help.
Staff were friendly and attentive, attention to detail with clearing up maybe needs a little work. The gentleman working was very good, I think the waitress was a little flustered as unfortunately forgot to wipe the table down after 2 attempts at clearing the plates etc.
Would definitely try again, perhaps table numbers would be a good idea and a simple breakfast plate on the menu would do well.
Had breakfast for the first time at May Street Larder and enjoyed the food, ambiance and friendly staff. I had poached eggs on gluten free toast with a side of avocado, was pleased that the gluten free toast was one of the best brands available (Strange Grains I am guessing), husband had the Beef Brisket Hash. Food was all cooked well, although for the price, husband thought a piece of toast would have gone down well as part of his dish. Coffee and tea were really good too.
