Rustic charm, fantastic staff, good coffee and an excellent breakfast. Sit in Bruce Town for a few minutes and you quickly realise that most of the customers are locals who love the place. As they walk through the door they are greeted by Hacki ( not sure if that's how her name is spelt) who is a young NZ girl who you can't help but like. The place is tiny with a few seats outside. If you have a dog you can expect some special attention as the staff love dogs. It gets really busy so you may have to wait a little while sometimes but there are newspapers on the table so just sit back and chill.
Divine food and coffee. Amazing, enthusiastic, kind and loving workers :) I highly recommend Short Black Sheep :) Thank you for making this Cafe one of the best cafe's in freo :)
Haven’t been to this place for breakfast in a while but every time I go it never disappoints. Friendly service, delicious food, great coffee. Definitely worth a visit.

Great chilled little café in Freo. Food is good. We found them via an urban list article which mentioned their potato tots. Their website menu is different to the actual menu on Site.
We were craving potato tots that day but found that they probably don't make them anymore.
We had the scrambled eggs but found that the sweet chilli sauce à bit too much, took away all the other ingredients on the plate.
The brekky crêpes were nice

the breakfasts we enjoyed were tasty, healthy and huge. loved the portions and the homemade tastes. busy, and i can see why.
the coffee was ok, nothing great, but food is over the top.

Great place! Had Eggs Benedict and it was incredible, best one I've had in a while. The coffee is amazing too. Would highly recommend this place - food & service was spot on and the lady who runs it is lovely, everyone should visit Bruce Town Cafe :)

Nice little cafe in the middle of nowhere doesn't look much from the outside but the food is really delicious. Very friendly staff delicious Banana and Coconut bread great coffee.
