Today's coffee was with a POLISH ex-WAITER who has worked at many restaurants in Melbourne over the years, good and not so good.
He KNOWS coffee, has only TWO per day (one he makes himself).
Sitting down today he tells me that his lunchtime coffee is serious business, and HAS to be good. Which is why this Whip was surprised to be in a food court cafe with a Vietnamese barista (he goes on for hours about the virtues of Italians), that also sells Pho (their sign says SO PHO SO GOOD!).
Also the beans are Robert Timms.... Is he FOR REAL? Yes. The Pole explains that it's not always possible to make a perfect brew, even his own varies... Todays lacks a bit of crema for his liking, usually better.
Tip: the HUSBAND does the best coffee at 'Terrance'.
Service: faultless.
This Whip enjoyed the Latte. Strong, not bitter. Milk nice and velvety.
Very GOOD.
(We have a soft spot for Vietnamese food and love the French connection gastronomically).
Great services, good foods and very nice coffee! They're used Giancarlo Coffee bean to serve.
