McDonald's Glen Waverley Visited on 18/6/2021 McDonald's celebrates 50th Anniversary down under today, 18 June. It runs a promotion of 50 cents for a Big Mac which normally costs $6.20. I cannot remember when I had my last Big Mac, but I thought this is a good deal, and should join in to celebrate such a milestone. I am novice to the McDonald's App, and the young man at the serving counter is very helpful and patient to with this slow coach. The two patties in the sesame buns are fairly juicy, not dry, and there is plenty of creamy mayonnaise. It burger is not greasy nor tasted like plastic as some people claimed. I order a cappuccino, free for seniors. What a meal indeed. I thoroughly enjoy it. Covid restrictions are not fully lifted yet, and therefore restaurant is not packed. Few years ago, this store underwent extensive extension, and renovation, and it is now very pleasant and modern. Some touch screen devices are present after the front entrance, but before the service counter; there are also devices at some tables for patrons to place their order in comfort. When we leave the store, there are queues of cars in the drive-through waiting to place their order. Thanks McDonald's for the treat.
