This little place is a hidden secret (but not for long). Great food and wine. A Chianti classico is a must. Pasta and risotto dishes are very authentic and the tiramisu is to die for. I think I have found Tuscany in Hawthorn. Service was great and the Italian waiter (I suspect maybe owner also) has a great sense of humour.
Saw so many great reviews about this place, decided to give it a go, and wow the reviews are right. This place is a gem, and everyone should know about this place. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. Food was impeccable, the homely feel and ambience, as well as friendly service. Would definitely come back here.
Parpadelle Ragu is the best!!
Such a nice little restaurant with the authentic pasta offers. Ingredients are nice and fresh, super friendly staff.
Love the wall decors!
Cute family restaurant! The waiter was very attentive and funny! The pasta is top notch! We had an amazing time there would definitely go back whenever we would like to revisit Italy!
Best pasta, bruschetta and tiramisu in Melbourne for sure. Amazing service. Simply delicious food and great wine. Definitely must visit place. Simple and humble delicious food.
The best pasta I’ve had in Melbourne (& potentially my life)! Intimate dining setting and lots of fun decor! The service was impeccable and made for a memorable night. You can tell that these are all nonnas recipes
I work in the area and this is my absolute favourite for a casual authentic meal. The service is always great, the pasta never disappoints!! It’s a tiny little restaurant with a romantic decor and vibe.
We found this place a little over 2 years ago and have been coming back ever since.
The quaint setting is perfect for a cosy dinner for 2 or 20 (so long as you book for 20!).
The service is personal and friendly but the service is secondary to quality of the food. My wife and I have travelled through Italy and consistently find this as the best Italian experience in Melbourne. In fact it serves what I would describe as possibly the best dish I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. Mushroom Ragu with Black Truffle - phenomenal - highly recommend.
The prices are on the more expensive side but worth every cent when you get this type of delight for your pallet!
The best everything. Best food. Best chef. Best specials. Best people running the place. Best place for a small gathering. Best place for date night.
Felt like some traditional pasta and found this place. Very cosy and although the menu was small, it did not disappoint. We ordered almost one of each of the pasta on the menu except for the truffles (may try it next time!). We tried the Pici mushroom ragu which was the special of the day and it tasted good. The pici and gnocchi was al dente but the pappardelle was a little on the overcooked side. The ragu could be improved with a little bit more sauce. The tiramisu and bread and butter pudding was good!
Overall an enjoyable experience!
A cosy Italian place with amazing food. Menu is not big which I love as that’s how a kitchen focus on making the best dishes!
The texture of the pici is just perfect and with black truffle and mushroom, yep, it’s really good.
This place has only a few tables so be sure to make reservations for weekends and such.
Lovely little place. Tiny room with cute quirky decor and delicious authentic Italian pasta and antipasti platters. The tiramisu is awesome. Great Italian wine too, and very friendly service. Best Italian I’ve tried on this side of town.
