Had a very nice large flat white.
Neat, clean and tidy cafe.
We sat outside on a nice sunny day.
Friendly staff.
Worth a visit for a nice coffee 😊 ☕
A bright and warm almost-hidden cafe from the bustle of Glenferrie Road. Alternatively, if you get lost in a good book at Readings you can pop in from the back of the store.
Try the fritters, the portion is small but the flavours all complement each other to make a delicious dish.
Service is good; very kind staff, but a little slow.
The king brown, button and oyster mushrooms on sourdough was great! I wish they'd bring it back to their current menu. It's a small store so it can sometimes be hard to get a table, but the food is great and staff are pleasant.
Good range of choices to eat. Porridge is a winner. Nice coffee with good service in an enjoyabke atmosphere makes for a good cafe. Would recommended giving this one a try.
Cute little cafe just off the main Glenferrie Rd and adjacent to the large open air car park near both the Lido & sports/aquatics bldgs. Serving Dench bread is a winning prospect, and a short, simple menu with offerings like avocado on toast (spruced up with goats cheese little lemon segments pepitas, etc), and the mixed mushrooms & toasted hazelnut option are both great simple and effective toppers to quality bread. Optional exists to add your poached eggs on top. Sweet cabinet looks appealing - think blackberry friands, little French custard pastry tarts, etc. coffee is also good. Overall a nice addition to the area ..not overcomplicated, so executing better than a lot of the other glenferrie offerings that are trying and not succeeding to offer it all.
Thumbs up from me - mixed mushrooms were cooked nicely with creamy goat's cheese, piled on top of buttered slices of Dench multigrain sourdough. The silverbeet was an unusual appearance in an otherwise ubiquitous cafe dish, and I liked the earthy tones it added. Took away an anzac caramel slice for later and it was fantastic, with loads of buttery sweet flavour, good for those with a sweet-tooth (like me!).
The food and service here were just unbeatable! Having dropped my child to a nearby private hospital to have her wisdom teeth removed, I needed some comfort and happened on this place. What a total piece of serendipity. The coffee was WONDERFUL and the croissant melted in my mouth leaving only the sweet joy of the strawberry and rhubarb jam. Second cup of coffee? Yes I will thanks!

Lovely cafe with quality food (especially baked goods by Dench) and coffee. I came here after a browse in Readings, and was perfectly cosy with my two thick slices of delicious fruit toast and a latte. They have table service, everyone there was very friendly and welcoming.
Simple cute cafe that focuses on quality not quantity. It just goes to show that you don't need a lot of items on your menu as long as you do each one right. Perfect place for a lazy Sunday brunch.
