In need of a quick takeaway coffee whilst in Hawthorn, I came across Picasso's on Glenferrie Road and decided to give them a go. The staff were really nice and I didn't have to wait too long.
They had a nice selection of cakes and pastries so I selected a delicious and moist carrot cake to have with my coffee, and it was really good. The coffee itself was OK, not too strong and a good temperature. Not a bad place for a quick coffee.

Friday night, an hour to kill in Hawthorn after work, what else better to do than grab a burger and a vanilla slice from Glenferrie Road? Having never ventured into Picasso’s Cafe before, I wasn’t aware that they sold so much freshly made food, I naively assumed they were a pizza shop. I optimistically ordered two and sat down with my colleague Custard J, for us to both devour in house.
Really delicious simple food! They make the best sandwiches here and the coffee is always on point. Staff are super friendly and love to chat
I've been coming here for almost a year now and loved it every single time. Fantastic coffee and the food is just the right size for me and always tastes fresh! The staff are lovely and I can't wait to come back again

all l want is a breaky with everything without having to spend a fortune the service was great the staff very friendly and the coffee was also good my friend had pancakes which were also great we will be back !

Proper Breakfast!. I came here on Sunday 30/6/13 as we were going to go to Crabapple, yet with a line out the door and about 100 mothers and children inside it wasn't worth the wait or the effort.
We walked across the road to Picasso's and yes this place looks really daggy, the booth seats look like they belong in an American Diner from another era and the menus were a bit tatty, yet the food was definitely great.
So many places in Melbourne don't serve a proper English breakfast anymore, it's all Meredith Goats Cheese Feta, Chorizo....the usual posh nosh that costs a fortune.
We had poached eggs, mushrooms, French toast hash brown and a side of bacon with 2 coffees (that were great) for $35. Nowhere can you get a huge meal like we had for $35, without having to line up 40 minutes for a table and eat microscopic food on a plate.
This place definitely deserves more credit than it has at the moment, and I never had any issues with the staff. They were friendly, happy to be there and for those spending $3 and expecting EFTPOS payments on here complaining; set up a merchant machine and see how much it costs you for small transactions!
Amazing and speedy service all the girls working were friendly and attentive. Had an amazing big breakfast which was huge! My friend had pancakes with berries and ice cream they were amazing too will defiantly be going back!!
I really like the sandwiches that I get from picassos. And the Spanish girl accent.

I love that they have all day breakfast! I go there about 2-3 times a month! I order a big breakfast with eggs toast hash browns sausage and more! It's a little/alot fatty so if your on a diet I would recommend something else!
The food was awesome, the mocha was a delight and friendly staff! What else can you ask for! And they open early too! Definitely would recommend!
Tasty, home style food, very generous portions! The young waitress was obviously very busy when I came in (breakfast rush) but still professional and friendly, and my food came out quickly. The breakfast special is very good value!
Resonable price and this lemon meringue cake was a bit sweet for me but except for that, everything was okay. Staffs are very friendly!
Wonderful café with friendly staff, and excellent service. I had a cappuccino with a ham and cheese croissant, and they were deliciously fresh! It felt like the milk, ham, and cheese just tasted better than what I'm normally used to. It was busy around lunch time, but it's to be expected on such a busy road, and with good prices!

The ladies here are nice enough to make up my lunch even though its not specifically on the menu. A chicken schnitzel on toasted turkish bread with lettuce and mayo. Ive been coming here 1 day per week for this whilst at university for the day. They also have excellent homemade sausage rolls. Very friendly staff, quick service and they have a great range of other freshly cooked items. A nice change from fast food here
