We popped from the beach to Seasalt for some takeaway fish & chips on a hot weekend. It was delicious and I'd definitely go back.
It was difficult to know where to order the takeaway from because all of the windows were closed. Even though there were signs pointing to the place you order, it really did look like nothing was happening in that dark corner of the restaurant on the other end of the dining area. When we asked the friendly waitress where we order takeaway from, we almost didn't believe her. A little bit strange that you walk through all the diners.
Once we ordered, there was a little bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. I think it was great value for money. We ordered the fish & chips for two, which was two big pieces of butterfish, a lot of chips, and house made tartare sauce (which was delicious) for $16. We only just couldn't finish all the chips and we are big eaters. I appreciated the bio packaging as well. Will be back again!
A sunny long weekend Sunday required a long lunch at the beach and Seasalt fit the bill perfectly. We were able to sit outside which had lots of shady umbrellas. Sunscreen was also provided. Excellent service all day. Water was topped up regularly. We ordered gradually from the menu throughout the afternoon and were happy with all dishes. A fantastic afternoon.
Staff were helpful and friendly. We did have to wait at least half an hour for two pieces of fish and chips, but it was a hot busy day. Fish and chips tasted lovely, but quite a bit of oil on the fish.
Prices are high end, but will be back on occasions.
