It's fantastic and inspiring how many vegan meal options served here. The restaurant is in a convenient yet secluded area with a great atmosphere. The prices are totally affordable. I'm not normally a huge fan of Asian food but this place is certainly my exception!
Delectable food (even if you're not a vegetarian) and very generous servings! I went there for the first time last night and I can tell that this is going to be the start of a beautiful friendship. I had Salt & Pepper Tofu and it was delish!
We come here a lot, often once or twice a fortnight, for a delicious and satisfying feed. Whilst the interior decor might not be to everyone's appeal, the food is consistently good, across the large range options on the menu that we've sampled thus far. We recommend the Curry not Chicken (with rice), the Satay Sticks, Taro Rolls, Gourmet Masala, Rendang Curry, Hotplate Noddle and the Chickpea Burger. Staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the wait time for food is usually short. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking to incorporate more vegetarian and vegan meals into your dinning.
The food there is incredible! It's fresh, healthy and there are a variety of dishes to pick and choose from. I recommend some of the Chef's Special dishes off the menu. Especially the Gourmet Masala, which is really tasty. I could eat there every week!
This place is my favourite eatery atm and I am one hell of a self proclaimed foodie. I have seen them get some hate here and there for poor service but have never personally seen anything that came close to poor service. A wide range of food with something tasty for everybody (fake meats, western type foods, curry). Beautiful teas and house made ice teas with tons of fresh ingredients. Always had the friendliest service, don't even have to order at the counter (been to 5 star restaurants that I had to). Also, I've noticed the facilities have been updated a number of times just in the recent months. Atmosphere is nice and keeps getting nicer eg, nice table cloths, lazy susans, very clean. If I had to come up with a con I could maybe say the decor needs a little work. I like the style but things are still being added all the time (to be clear, thats comparing it to a fancy restaurant. I'd give it at least a 3.5 for decor
Zenhouse on Port Rd is every bit as amazing as the Bent St restaurant.
Like Bent St, it's a casual, no-frills kind of dining experience, so don't expect waiters to stand there pouring you water with one hand behind their back. It's not that kind of place.
It's the kind of place you feel welcome. You don't need to book, you know there'll be a seat for you. And you can look like crap (thankfully, because it means I can go there on a Sunday night when I'm too lazy to cook).
The food is always delicious and the service is friendly and the whole place is very calm and chilled. A zen house indeed.
T&D. My girlfriend and I love this place, we've been a few times now and tried different dishes each time. The food is great! Especially the Laksa!
Like this place, but it's expensive. I have eaten here twice already in the last two weeks, and myself and my partner have been happy with everything we have ordered both times (including the fusion pasta dish, which another reviewer rated really poorly here on urbanspoon). The laksa is good value, about $13, but everything else is pricey. It is a shame, as I would eat here more often if the prices were 10-15% lower. There isn't a lot of choice when it comes to vegetarian food in Adelaide, especially for dinner, so I hope this place continues to improve and offer some more affordable dishes.
very tasty food, got the tom yum soup and it bought me back to old memories! that made me happy. the wait time took a long time so i’d recommend calling up first but all the times i’ve been here it’s been very tasty.
I have been going here several times a week for almost 3 years and have never had a problem! Staff always friendly and helpful and food ALWAYS delicious and fresh.
Good vegetarian food! Ordered 5 dishes, the shrimp taste the best.
Awesome vegetarian food! Nothing much to say about it but just delicious.
The food is fabulous but please, PLEASE get biodegradable take away containers. It might cost slightly more but I'd be happy to pay, and I'm sure most Zenhouse customers would agree
