Lovely restaurant and excellent service! The food was really delicious!
I've been coming here for over a year, and I don't know why the negative comments are. The food is good. The service is good too - although a crazy waiter was working before Christmas, he probably isn't there anymore ;) Last Saturday, the service deserved a bonus for the high quality of service.
Came over to Amici as we had an appointment wait at the local hospital. The place looks decent and traditional, we sat in for lunch to which I ordered the arancini and my friend ordered the traditional italian sausage sandwich. The Arancini came out not so fast and was presented with two large deep fried rice balls swimming in tomato sauce. 16 dollars for that, years ago they served 3 balls.
The sauce was nice and plentiful, however was quite oily. The arancini themselves were filled 85% with rice and hardly any meat and peas, 15% it was cheese. One of them had no meat or peas at all. They also needed seasoning. They did include cheese, however was slightly flavourless.
My friends italian sausage sandwich was good based on her comments, however the sausage was not a traditional italian sausage which was a shame. Service was slow unfortunately, there was around 4 tables with people and we waited for 45 minutes until our pizza touched our table.
The pizza it was tasty i got the capricciosa, no complainings at all.
My friend ordered the prawn pizza, that was a deception, 1 small prawn per slice.
Come on guys, prawns are not so expensive, this was a deception.
