Highly recommend their curry, especially with mud crab. Every time we order it, it never fails to disappoint. The rich & aromatic curry sauce is prepared in a claypot, then added with fresh mud crab. When the crab is cooked, all the sweet crab juice will be combined with the curry sauce to add extra flavour. I can easily eat two bowls of rice with just the sauce itself. 😋 If you don’t want your hands getting messy, you can ask for Curry beef brisket. You get the same curry sauce with meltingly tender beef. 🙂
Pretty good yum cha is to be had here at the Crown Dragon. There's not that much variety in the dishes, however what they do is top standard.
Always good for Yum Cha. Plenty of variety here and the good is always fresh. Don’t let fact that it is inside a leagues club turn you off, especially to non Dragons fans.
Dinner especially if you feel like Mud Crabs or lobster is as good as many ChinaTown big names. It feels definitely under appreciated here dining here a few times mid week with the restaurant half full. Don’t have to eat fancy as the standard meals that are non seafood are super. Beer and wines choices are limited as for most Chinese restaurants unfortunately.
Excellent dumplings. Peking duck rolls were a standout. Mango pudding was a lovely end to the meal.
Attentive service, above average. Loved the chilli sauce! Can't wait to go again.
Great service, good selection of Yum Cha and reasonably priced. It was a much more pleasant experience than the Yum Cha restaurant we went to in Chinatown, where the wait staff constantly ignored you.
This is possibly one of the best chinese restaurants we have been to for a very long time. I highly recommend their banquet set.
We had a small lobster and it was cooked to perfection. The fried rice, crispy chicken and wok fried prawns are a must!
We received good service and had a waiter assigned to our table.
We will be going back, this is a great place to have a huge chinese feast with family and friends.
This is a good place for yum cha or Chinese away from the usual suspected places like Chinatown or Hurstville nearby. Food is good & slightly anglosized but tasty & fresh. Yum cha is the best meal here with some unusual offerings & the sizes are a bit bigger then the typical yum cha dishes. Its not cheap but it is in a much more spacious & quieter environment, so a busy spot for families with children & prams.

Nice ambience -- it was humming with locals at Sat midday. About 80% capacity. The place is a little bit smaller than the bigger yum cha places in the CBD but with plenty of room to move about.
Service was really top notch for a yum cha joint. You really don't expect much normally but Crown Dragon goes above & beyond. Promptly seated with tea arriving a few mins later. Didn't have to ask the usual three times for chilli sauce. Friendly and efficient service -- even changed over our plates when they got full. This was a massive thumbs up.
Food was a little hit & miss unfortunately -- e.g., deep fried chicken rugby ball things/sticky rice were delicious, ha gow/siu mai/pork ribs ok, beef rice rolls were pretty bad.
Would I come again? Yes if I'm not venturing into the city.
I first posted about Crown Dragon Restaurant in 2009 - link here if anyone feels like a blast from the past. It is now about five years later and the restaurant is still there! That is great for Sydney's dining scene. With so many Chinese restaurants opening and closing on a regular basis, five years is a cause for celebration. Particularly for those restaurants located inside RSL/ Leagues clubs as they tend to be tucked away from the public eye.
My 3rd visit over a number of year's. Food is wonderful, fresh and hot. Service is above and beyond. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Highly recommend going for Yum Cha.
The picture is of the Duck being cut at table side for Duck pancakes. It's a great experience for the kid's to see. I think they enjoyed it more being done at the table. Well done with providing a Covid safe version of Yum Cha, seeing as the trolleys can't be done at the current time.

I love this Chinese restaurant (which is in Kogarah) in the St George region.

To be honest, I have been to this restaurant a few times now (I have lost count) but this has got to be my favourite Chinese restaurant in Sydney hands down!!!
The food was super fresh, scrumptious and amazing flavoursome goodness, how can I describe the food!! I loved every single bite!!! And OMG the crab claw was one of my favourites!! Super crunchy in the outside and very soft and fleshy inside, it melted in my mouth!!! So damn good!!
But everything I ordered were amazing! The egg tarts were super crispy... Am I making you hungry yet??!! 🤤
And let’s talk about the customer service!! From the greeting at the door, to leading us to our dining table to looking after us, they have been nothing But exceptional!! They provide top service, they were friendly, funny, bubbly and just made us laughed the whole night... they looked after us until we left!!
One waiter said I looked familiar haha, and then he also rubbed my brother-in-law’s belly like a Buddha belly for good luck hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
We drove to the restaurant (probably best to go by car or maybe bus) I am not sure how long the walk is from the train station!
The restaurant was beautiful inside out, from gorgeous chandeliers outside the restaurant waiting from.
Very clean, spacious, gorgeous interior and lovely ambiance (a bit of fine dining and casual feel to it)

Perfect for family gatherings. Located inside the St George League Club so there is plenty of parking.
The food are splendid, the manager recommend us the pipis clam and spicy crab with the bun.
My dad couldn't stop taking about these 2 dishes and can't wait to go back. The other dishes are very delicious too!

Service is always excellent here. Price is a little on the exxy side but the food is very good. This used to be my favourite Yum-Cha but I feel like quality is dropping slightly.
