The food here is seriously tasty! We tried the rendang and the kway teow and were blown away by the flavours. The presentation is also top notch.

Ria Malay kitchen has been in Leederville for many years now, and has expanded over the years into a very well patronised joint on the main Leederville strip. Once seated we chose the pork nibbles to start. Lovely mini ribs in a gooey sweet and sour sauce – they were moreish and we ate them hungrily. It would have been good to have some finger bowls or wet wipes for afterwards.
Decent Malay Food in a nicer setting that you normally find good malay food, I used to use this place for dates with the uninitiated with Malay food, Good starting place for those unfamiliar with the usual asian restaurant experience, A little bit nicer, and the food is up to standard
DINNER - AMBIENCE // Good atmosphere as it is usually full or will get full by the time your food comes out. Service is always good and naturally lags a little as the night gets busy. FOOD // The dishes are packed full of flavour that leaving your tastebuds wanting more and your top button needing to be undone. RECOMMEND // Chinese Shredded Beef, Rendang Derlagi-lagi, Almond Chicken Korma
Went here with 3 friends to start our Leederville Food Safari. We had a tasting plate each which was awesome. Service was quick and very friendly.
Has been quite some time since I’ve eaten here. Came for mid week dinner for 4 and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Friendly waitress let us have our pick of tables and we were promptly given menus. We ordered the lotus chips (delicious), roti (very good), the nyonya chicken curry (good), the Kleo chicken (tasty), mee goreng (delicious) and a bowl of curry laksa (ok, not a huge fan of the flavour of this one). All in all the food was pretty authentic - the curries taste-wise were great but would have been nicer if there were some potatoes or something a bit more interesting in the curry other than the chicken only (but this might just be the style of the dish). Service was friendly and attentive and vibe of the restaurant was good. Definitely a little on the pricier side but the quality of food was there. Would definitely recommend.
Had such a lovely evening here. The food was delicious and came out quickly. The staff were attentive and took our order quickly although it had got busy and once the plates were cleared we were not offered/asked about dessert which was disappointing as we had our eye on something. However highly recommend and we be back again.
Hubby and I went here for a dinner date. We ordered the Chicken Satay sticks for an entree and they were great. Chicken was moist and soft and the satay sauce was brilliant. Best Satay ever hubby said. We then ordered the Lamb Kari and the Chinese Shredded Beef. The Lamb was so very nice however a little hot for me (one chilli is too much for me) and the beef was soooo good. Last dish was a fried rice. I have never had rice taste so good. Price was a little high I think for what you got however we did take home leftovers (which daughter devoured the lamb as soon as we walked in the door). Will we go back - definitely and this time will take the kids.
The food was flawless, authentic Malaysian. We had a little bit of everything shared among friends. We also did the tuk-tuk a different night. Will be back again and again. Recommend the ginger beer to accomodate your tasty meal. 👍🏻
Friendly servoce, gteat menu, food was exceptional but I couldn’t persuade them to get me a large lemon, lime and bitters!
Seems very popular on a Friday evening but I will try it for lunch one day soon.

Really enjoyed the menu choices with a variety of gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options. The hostess was welcoming and accommodating. Our waitstaff friendly and provided swift service. Acoustically great easy to chat between your own table and not compete with noise from surrounding tables.

Delicious! I don't give 5/5 often but I thought the food was really good. The beef rendang and sweet and sour pork were highlights. I thought my mandarin sour cocktail was a little unbalanced in acidity but the concept was there. Service was also pleasant and envrionment warm.
Nicely furnished, large venue. Did is a tad on the expensive side, especially for Malaysian. Cocktails and dishes we tried were all tasty. Dessert was a bit disappointing. The option I had selected (out of 4), I was told was not available when I went to order.

Great Malaysian food, with large portions. The food was authentic, service was prompt. The satay chicken and Portuguese baked fish were a highlight.
Tasty food, good quick service - their Friday lunch special was great value!
