We sat down next to the window at this cozy cafe. The service is warm and welcoming. Food prices are reasonable and had plenty of choices.
We ordered the french toast and the haloumi toast.
The french toast is refreshing and colorful, it's a little sweet but just what we needed. The haloumi toast with beetroot relish is an interesting combo, the sweetness really balanced out the salt in the haloumi.
Coffee is alright, but they have many other beverage options too.
With the loveliest service, this café was a joy to dine in. Prices were very reasonable, however I did add a serving of avocado which was $4. The hummus was a little dry and difficult to scoop up, but the beans were crazy delicious. I loved how it was a filling and satisfying meal, despite not looking like a lot from first glance. The monkey smoothie had banana, coconut milk, and honey and was also quite good, and came in a big glass. Food took a tad longer to come out than I had hoped, but it more than made up for it in taste and service.
Flood Street Carousel is a long-standing corner cafe that offers fantastic ambience and a family-friendly dining atmosphere. Located in Leichhardt, this cafe is conveniently close to the Marketplace. There’s plenty of parking about, the closest being the Flood Street Leichhardt Car Park. The interior is spacious and haphazardly decorated in a chic way, with an eclectic mix of lounges and chairs. The tables had a checkerboard that could probably double up as an area for playing chess!
