Literally the best gluten free lactose free burger I've ever had. I'm not vegan but I am gluten free, lactose free and the staff were able to accommodate by mixing the vegan menu with the standard menu.

I have seen that spot going through on changes for the last 6 years, but this is probably the best they could have done to it. It's a great location and now it got the best look and interior design. So cooool.
The menu is very straight forward, but the great thing about it that it serves all meals in vegan version as well. The vegan burgers are AWESOME!!! I got so surprised after the first bite that I almost considered asking the waiter if the kitchen made a mistake or it is just that good. It is that good! Keep up the good work, guys. I love it. Definitely we will return for trying more from your menu!
What a great find! This Manly bar combines pirate chic decor with amazing service and incredible cocktails. We were lucky enough to stumble across The Hold in time for happy hour, and their margaritas were *chef’s kiss.* Heaps of vegetarian food options on the menu. Looking forward to a return visit.
We've been to this place possibly 10 times in the past and have returned because the food is good, service fine, we like sitting outside. This time we found that they've changed their approach a bit, similar menu (but have replaced the best chips in Manly with factory French fries 😒🥱). Good burgers with great vegan options that are appreciated. Service has deteriorated a bit - but I guess this relies on the qualities of the individual servers, maybe we just got a bad night. However, we had to ask for, then wait for, then chase our CUTLERY. Messy!! Pretty good cocktails. On the basis of the better experiences of the past we'll try one more time.
Vegan options are out of this world. Highly recommended spot in Manly. The grapefruit drink was amazing.

The Captain Jack is the best burger on the Northern Beaches by far, that Mac and cheese “patty” makes it taste so bloody good. I also tried the cheeseburger spring rolls for the first time and they were delicious!!
The Hold is an awesome little bar with great food and drink. The staff were amazing friendly and the best ive experience so far. Great double smash burgers and awesome Happy Hour prices. Look forward to my next visit. Great job guy's.

The fact that they have the same menu in VEGAN option is just amazing! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤩🤩 but not only that, they TASTE INCREDIBLE! Can’t believe it. Thank you guys! Staff is so friendly, the fries are the best! Ingredients always fresh. You just HAVE to come and try all the vegan menu!
Long before Beyond meat and Impossible burgers these guys have been creating the best vegan burgers in Sydney. Every burger on the menu has a vegan alternative. I once took one back thinking it was real meat... I was happily corrected!
