I went with a group of girl friends. We had the banquet dinner menu. We were all surprised how good and authentic the food was, given the restaurant had a very western feel! The duck was done very well! I will return if I’m in the area.
In my top two for the best dumplings in Sydney. High end Chinese cuisine. You can literally get anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed. Such an amazing spot in the water in Manly
Fun and quirky atmosphere with stunning views of manly wharf. Incredibly tasty food, highlight was the crab. Yum cha is a must! I’ve been back several times now and will continue to go back. Worth every penny.
Good quality, tight menu, great location. Had dumplings ( the Jade and scallops/prawn were the stand outs for me, found the pastry on the Xia Long Bau a little thicker than my preferred very thin style ) Black pepper Moreton bugs, honey king prawns, Garlic flowering chives and Sichuan noodles. Excellent quality ingredients and well executed flavours. The service was excellent from some, especially Harry the Somm who recommended an amazing Chenin Blanc that fit the request for a super-dry wine to perfection. Don’t come here thinking this is Chinatown style food or service - it’s Merivale and it’s Manly Wharf - so for four adults a bill of just under $300 including wine was more than reasonable, and the lovely and thoughtful touch of a dessert with a candle for the birthday boy in the party ended a feast in style.
The food was to die for! We had the Moreton Bay bugs, fish sashimi, dumplings and some fried noodles. Great cocktails and deserts. I would have scored this place a 5 if it wasn’t for the patchy service. Strange that our water glasses weren’t filled up frequently and wine tasting glasses weren’t picked up. Other than that, our table was perfect, amazing views of the harbour and stunning sunset. Very relaxing meal... definitely one of the most memorable meals and experiences of 2018.
Great food, excellent service, and atmosphere! Steamed dim sum, salt and pepper squid, crispy beef were especially good. Wine recommendation was spot on!
We recently had a large Christmas lunch at Queen Chow. We chose the $99 set menu. Atmosphere & decor was great inside the restaurant. Food was fresh & delicious. Sometimes hard catching a waiter as they were so busy. Still a great place to dine.
Awesome lunch! Dim Sum was great and mains ( salt & pepper squid and sweet & sour pork) were delicious. Beautiful view of North harbour.
Amazing experience. Dined a few times at Queen Chow Manly and from greeting to paying the bill, always a great experience. Recommend the steamed dim sums - best I’ve had and salt & pepper calamari is moreish. Service is welcoming, the staff are always attentive and genuinely seem to care about providing a high standard of service.
Lovely decor, impressive service (esp the manager Johnathan) and nice Cantonese food. Great place for special celebration.
I recently dined at Queen Chow restaurant at Manly. The food was excellent. While sitting at the table, a bottle of red wine was accidentally dropped behind me and splashed over my coat. The staff were amazing and attempted to remove the stains from my coat however we’re unsuccessful. On the night they reduced our bill by 50% and also paid for the dry cleaning of my coat. I cannot recommend Queen Chow restaurant highly enough. Fantastic customer service. Kerri
Staff was very friendly and professional and the food taste fantastic. The restaurant is facing the Manly wharf which is even better when eating your food during lunch while enjoying the view. Definitely recommend to try this place.
