Croissant quality very high, not surprising. Price tag makes it a sometimes good.
Coconut rough twice baked croissant, $12, they stand all the almonds vertically, that's the attention to detail craftsmanship you are paying for. Also it tastes excellent. Had to spread out consumption throughout the day as it was very rich.
Carrot cake croissant, $13.5. It's an amazing carrot cake hybrid croissant, all the plusses of both.
Preorder and designated pickup time (was fine if you run late for your slot) makes it an easy experience. Actually prefer this to the dread of having to queue for Lune. Extra items can be added in on pickup (if not sold out).

Love the croissants! really enjoyed the almond and the ham and gruyere cheese one. The lemon cruffin was also great. Not a fan of the plain or the pain au chocolat. Maybe if the chocolate was a bit melted it’ll taste better.
ordered:
Almond croissant ($9.5) - 5/5
My absolute favourite! Incredibly flaky, buttery and filled with almond butter
Pain au Choc ($6.6) - 4/5
Super light and airy layers with dark chocolate batons.
Morning bun ($8.5) - 3.8/5
Croissant pastry with cinnamon, brown sugar and butter. If you're a fan of cinnamon and you have a sweet tooth, then you will love this!
I also ordered Soy Latte but it was meh - just an average cuppa coffee.

"World's Best Croissant" by the New York Times! Lune Croissanterie is one of the patisseries you must visit in Melbourne. A huge line up every morning but worth a visit. All croissants were crispy and flaky on the outside but creamy buttery inside. Tried several flavors - Almond Croissant was my favourite. Lots of almonds on top of the croissant stuffed with delicious filling! A series of inner layers gave off that airy touch which kept them light. Slightly overhyped and overpriced as they didn't surpass my expectation but definitely worth a try!
Their almond croissant is so delicious and flaky 🤤 it’s just on the pricier side. Love their branding 👌🏻
Lune is truly the top croissanterie in Melbourne! I got the chocolate croissant, and it is so buttery with paper-thin flakes, it really melts in your mouth!
We also got the almond one which is just as delightful! You really can't go wrong with their croissants, just remember to get in early before they sell out!
Super delicious croissants... my favourite is the Almond croissant 🥐 and the choc chip cookie. It’s definitely on the pricey side but serves as a good treat! Will definitely be back ☺️
Just like the home base in Fitzroy, the city branch of Lune is extremely popular due to it's outstanding pastries. You really will be hard pressed to find a better croissant in Melbourne. The queues up the street are testimony to this. Despite the lines, service is extremely efficient and the staff are just so lovely. More for takeaways, this Lune is perfect for a decadent treat on the run.
We decided to try the famous twice baked almond croissant, and it was everything I hope for in one of these bad boys. If you are going to consume these kind of calories, you definitely have to enjoy it. The almond frangipane was so fragrant, and the crunch of almonds and pastry was just so satisfying.
We also had an amazing lemon curd cruffin, which again was outstanding. The tart curd worked beautifully with the buttery pastry and the insides was just so soft and sweet.
These pastries are definitely on the expensive side, but in this case, you get what you pay for. These aren't your run of the mill cafe croissant, and so are worth the splurge every now and again.
I love all the croissants..they are all amazing
My favourite croissants in Melbourne. Finally got a booking for Lune Lab after close to 2 years of trying....and it completely lived up to expectations! It's a wonderful experience, in a quiet section of the room, close to the action with the croissant-making before our eyes. It's also great to hear directly from the staff how their croissants are made. We started with the traditional croissant (warm and tasty), followed by a savoury kouign amann (divine) and a tiramisu inspired dessert. They were all excellent, with my fav being the second. Also unlimited coffee and hot chocolate, although wouldn't mind seeing tea options added in the future, as it did get quite heavy towards the end and I would've loved some tea to finish on. Highly recommended.
I have also bought takeaway from Lune, and recommend the vegemite, ham and gruyere and kouign amann. Delicious!
