I've visited this restaurant multiple times since I first had the chance to try last February. I love coming here when I crave for authentic Thai food thailand that tastes like back home. This place might be a little hard to find since it's just a small store at the end of a food court in Chinatown. My favorite menu I always get here is the Tom Yum Noodles 🍜, only $6 for the small size and $10 for large. The portions is super reasonable for the price. Not to mention the taste. Just so delicious, like what I used to have back in Thailand on the streets. Always love how I could add extra chili flakes 🌶 (even though they already put a lot), and ask for extra crushed peanut 🥜.Other dishes I would recommend would be the Boat Noodle and Dark Broth Kway Chap. Both broths were amazing. The first one a little more peppery and savory, whilst the latter is more mellow with a slightly sweet note to it. But I'd say they are both very well rounded and seasoned well. The Thai Milk Tea here was amazing. It's probably one of the best I've had in Melbourne. The flavor is milky, creamy, not too overpoweringly sweet like other places usually make. The aroma was great as well. Definitely order this if you're there. The food you order here is not like those overly sweetened Thai food you usually get when you order from many other places in Melbourne. The taste here is authentic--spicy is spicy, sour is sour, and not altered in any way.
Hidden in Paramount Shopping Centre Food Court is Asia Unique. You can’t really tell what cuisine they specialised in by its name but once you take a look at its menu, you will realised without a doubt that this is a Thai joint. You’ll also see that the majority of the customer is Thai, which is always a good sign.
I tried the Boat Noodle on a friend’s recommendation and was blown away. The broth was brimming with amazing depth of flavour – a combination of sweet, tangy and peppery. The Kway Jub with dark soup also had a sensational flavour profile, rather similar to the boat noodle soup but much richer, with a more herbal undertone and less tangy. I guarantee that you will there will be no leftover in your bowl.
The Thai Milk Tea is one of the best I have ever tried. Balanced in sweetness, with a hint of milky creaminess yet bold and robust in flavour. In fact, the beautiful aroma of the milk tea is the dominant smell that greet you once you reach this place.
Generous portion sizes, great value for money and friendly service, everything here hit the spot. When I was having my meal here, I was already thinking about when my next visit will be, and that to me, is irrefutable proof of how great this place is.
Definitely a unique food court restaurant with such a convenient location. The food feels authentic - we had the Laksa and it’s very delicious, not too heavy, and no MSG! Will come back!
