We had the BBQ & More Signature Platters. It has:
- Grain fed pork
- Slow cooked beef ribs
- Chicken
- Lamb ribs
- Ceasar salad
- Side chips
Such an amazing tenderness & moist meat. Compared to others I tried their meat is not dry and I love it. It felt so mouthwatering and the sauce that they used to grill or bbq the meat made it highlight the savour was and so satisfying.

We were treated with a warm welcome. They have some specialities dishes that they'll recommend. The meat board is the way to go to get yourself one tasty experience!!

We came here to sample the new dinner menu and loved the amount of flavour each element of our meal was!
The main platter was one of the highlights of the meal- at such a reasonable price you get so much! We sampled the sample, prawns, chicken, lamb and beef ribs - all proteins were cooked to perfection but my favourite by far were the chips! Once they went cold they still managed to stay crispy!
The dessert platter was also extremely generous, 3 of us could not finish it. My favourite was the pandan coconut creme brûlée

I don’t know what I expected to find when invited to come in and dine at Ginger Olives but a slow cooked meat paradise wasn’t on top of my expectations list but that’s exactly what we got. The meat 🥩 patter here was both affordable and would be my absolute highlight of dining out this week. Simply the most amazing slow cooked beef ribs I’ve had in a long while. The lamb was also pretty special too.
Cocktails were only around the $12 mark and I had my girly one which amused my dining buddy ... this bloke is all about the taste and little about the image so I have no issue with my choice.
Make sure you try the pandan coconut creme brûlée which was so delicious it had me question my rule that would normally state... original is best. I would eat this desert each night for a month and still enjoy. I was also a fan of the baked cheesecake which was subtle but creamy and rich.
Staff were really attentive and owner Eduardo Jalijali passionate about the care placed in preparation of the food in his restaurant.
Whole heartedly recommend.
I never write reviews but I just had to for Ginger Olive! Good food, good portions and good prices - but what really makes this place great is the excellent service. All the staff are very attentive and understanding - the waitresses here are super friendly and the owner is such a nice guy. You can see he's working very hard and is very proud of his restaurant - as he should be. Wish this place nothing but the best :)
We were invited to Ginger Olive tonight which is an intimate space in a CBD laneways with uber friendly staff and extremely reasonable cocktail prices (though not the strongest). Today we tried the meat platter which was accompanied by the most delicious chips (seriously the best seasoning). I really enjoyed the beef rib on the platter and the chicken was another favourite. This is a good option to try a bit of everything and is very filling.
Make sure you save room for dessert though because the coconut pandan creme brûlée is probably the best creme brûlée I’ve ever tasted. Not to mention it’s ginormous which is a huge plus! All of the other desserts were yummy too but I strongly recommend ordering the creme brûlée you won’t regret it!
