Nicky Riemer has created a wonderful menu to match the fantastic wine list. I love being able to pop next door to the wine store to select something special... The food is outstanding - the oysters and cheese selections are also excellent. Have been quite a few times now, and have never been disappointed!
What a great place! Great food and wine, super friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Will be back for sure
Loved dinner at Bellota. Such a great little wine bar with a nice atmosphere, delicious food and extensive wine selection. We went on a BYO night which was a really good option. Between two we had the arrancini, the fried pork rillettes, the salmon gravlax, the beef tartare and the beetroots with stratiatella. We probably over ordered slightly but all the food was fantastic. The rillettes and the beetroots were my personal favourites. Will definitely be back.
If you are looking for uncomplicated , unpretentious rustic European cuisine then this is the place for you. After starting with a cocktail at the bar the manager took us on a tour of the wine store which is attached to the restaurant. There is certainly a wine to meet anyone’s taste and an overwhelming choice of wines. The great part is you can select a wine from the store (at very reasonable price ) and pay a small corkage fee and enjoy at your table. The staff here are so friendly and enjoy what they do and make you feel so welcome not to mention are very well educated when it comes to wine and spirits . The food was rustic and tasty and enjoyed the lamb shoulder ragu .
Honestly, some of the best service I’ve seen in Australia. Our group had a couple tricky dietaries, and Hayley and Ingrid handled it like gems. They really went above and beyond for my friends birthday. Wine selection is gorgeous, fried pork rilletes are a must try, and the steak was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely lovely lunch at Bellota!
For entree, I shared the charcuterie board which was particularly nice. All the cold cuts were top quality and the pickled vegetables and almonds were welcome additions. It was the perfect size for two people to share as well. As we we were just having a light lunch, I chose an entree for my main - the arancini. These were some of the best I’ve had - great fennel taste and perfectly cheesy. The restaurant itself is charming, with very sleek, dark decor providing the perfect atmosphere for both a lunch, dinner or drinks. I can’t wait to return!
Great experience overall. Very attentive service, great wine selection and delicious food. We had the charcuterie board with a triple cream brie which was absolutely amazing! The arancini balls were good too. Not a massive fan of the wedges but still I'd definitely recommend going!
Came here for our Wedding Anniversary and enjoyed a very tasty 3 course meal with wonder service. I had been here a year or so ago for a “long lunch” and had been impressed with the quality of the food and the standard of service. I wasn’t disappointed this time either. The quieter back room is lined with linen clothed tables for more intimate dining, whilst the front “wine bar” section is lively and full, spilling out onto street-side alfresco, perfect for sunny afternoons and warm nights. I’ll definitely be back.
Friday night early dinner at Bellota with a group of 5. We had no booking for the tables with cloth in the back, however they put a couple of tables for us together in the front.
Bellota is adjoined to the prince wine shop.
The good: the food was great, we enjoyed the salumni board and various other dishes. The greatest steel for me was the ability to go to the wine shop and pretty much choose any bottle to drink at the restaurant. What a fun. The catch, if it less than $80, there is a $15 corkage.
Service was friendly and helpful.
The not so good: Nothing really - a great night.
Would I go again? For sure
Love this place. We came here last Thursday and had some oysters and a charcuterie board . We also share a bottle of wine from the cellar next door. I would change the bresaola from the charcuterie board because it wasn't a good bresaola and because the rest of the board was quite nice. Very good service.
Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Italian style food was not generic and not whacky, but finely crafted. Best dish we had was the spaghettini with crab and basil: subtle flavours, perfect texture.
Let's be honest here. The food did not blow my mind but it was decent. So normally this would be a 3.5. So why 4.5 you wonder? Because a restaurant is so much more than just the what you get on a plate.
Good ambience. TICK!
4 of us came on a Saturday night at 8pm and we were seated straight away without a booking. TICK!
Friendly and prompt service. TICK!
You can pick any bottle at the attached wine store and pay no corkage as long as the bottle is over $80. DOUBLE TICK!
We had share plates and a Leeuwin estate art series Chardonnay and a Cullen Diana Madeleine and surprise! Less than $120 a head.
Why drink at home when you can drink here at the same cost and get decent food and service along with it?
