Our first foray into Egyptian food and we were not disappointed. BeautIful food, fantastic service and ambience. Well priced food and such fresh, crisp flavours.

Had dinner with a group of friends earlier tonight, it was amazing. The staff was very friendly, atmosphere was so relaxing and welcoming. I had the Okra Tagine which was incredible, all the other plates looked great. Was in a hurry and had to skip desert and coffee, but going back for sure. Highly recommended.

We dined here on a 30% off voucher through The Fork. There was some confusion when we entered as to if we could use it, but it ended up being OK after some discussion. Service was friendly, and we ordered the 'Charcoal Grill for 2' and 'Okra Tagine'. Both were delicious, with the grill great for sharing and served with both fattoush and chips for an entra $2. Will return when we are in the area!
We had dinner on friday night, long overdue dinner with friends. Let me tell you this place was amazzzinng, the food was fresh,hot perfectly portioned! The rice was beautifully scented and moist, their yellow lentil soup was unbelievable. For our first time dining it was a very good experience, their desserts are very good too! The service was very warm, kind and very polite! Let me say we will be back! Keep up the good job!!!!
Delicious food with plenty of vegetarian options in the middle of Carlton. Friendly hosts who took the time to chat and explain dishes. Highly recommended.
We had a great night, as a vegetarian the options were very good and tasty! We had the halloumi, fatoush, khosari and full mdamas. As a starter we had the baba ganoush which was sooooo good i have never had a better eggplant dip. it was so smoky.Service was quick and i love the decor inside.
Leyalina has amazing, scrumptious food and awesome service. The owners and staff go over and above to ensure your experience 10/10. Thumbs up from me and i would recommend them for sure.
The service was good, we waited for a while for the dish though. I ordered Moussaka, taste good. The mixed grill really delicious. But it’s a bit pricey.
The restaurant's decoration is lovely and welcoming. The service was top notch. The staff were all very friendly, they even introduced the dishes which were really nice. The food was all tasty and really fresh. The desert was amazing, the best one I've ever had in Melbourne. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends.
So, so, so good! If you can, go for one of the banquet platters. We had banquet #3. Everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the Leyalina rice. I would recommend the Om Ali Tagine for dessert (or if you've got 3 people, get one of each option).

We came here for their Egyptian classic dish Koshari - lentils mixed with rice and macaroni, topped with chickpeas, fried onions, and a tomato and garlic sauce.
It's been a long time since we had it, so we were very excited to find that not only was the dish authentic, with the way it was presented & served, but it tasted just like how you would have it in the streets of Egypt (minus the price of course).
The portion was generous and can be shared between two people if you aren't hungry.
Finish the meal with Mint Tea, and you will feel right at home.
Super friendly service. Definitely coming back again for more Koshari!
Amazing Egyptian authentic food , Kebda eskandrani taste perfect and the vine leaves with kawarah is something you can’t miss, also we tried shisha with apple and grape flavour which was just perfect after dinner 👌
The most authentic, delicious, and amazing Egyptian food I had in years. Molokheya, mumbar, chicken, and rise, are all to the point. Very friendly owner and staff. Totally recommended.
Egyptian food served in large portions, tasty, well prepared, well served.
Good service, good pricing.
We were seated upstairs and the ambient is not as nice as downstairs, however, the food was so good we didn't mind.
Would recommend this place and will be back.
