The restaurant has really comfortable seating, is clean and has good ambience - perfect for photos. Dumplings were definitely something different and fusion, we were really impressed by the innovation and how the new, unfamiliar flavours complemented each other. We ordered the truffle mushroom and cheeseburger dumplings - which we would highly recommend, however mushroom dumplings are a little bit too peppery. The food is overpriced for the small portion size you receive. One order of dumplings only has around 4 serves and they are very small. Overall, it was a good experience however you’d have to order quite a bit to be full and pay more.
My partner and I tried all the dumplings on the menu and definitely recommend them all, including the desert dumplings! 10/10 service and great choice of cocktails. Also have to try the Drumpling lager, great beer.
Pretty solid dumplings the service nice even though they forget something.
You can find a zillion dumpling places but this is my favourite. Not the cheapest (but still quite cheap) the dumplings seem to be better quality than most other establishments.
Love the concept and tried a range of the 'special' dumplings which were delicious. Also had a dish of the regular pork and chive dumplings which came with an amazing sauce.
My partner and I are from New Zealand and this was a must go for us as we had never been before and it sounded amazing. And wow it did not disappoint! We got the crispy satay potstickers and the pepperoni pizza dumplings for dinner and they were both beautiful!! Cherry ripe dumplings for dessert were such a treat too, I wish they had a restaurant in New Zealand because I could easily become a regular.
What an awesome place. So colourful and inviting with a court yard in the back which is perfect for a few drinks on a summers night. We ordered the Cheeseburger dumplings which are a MUST! Legit tastes like a cheeseburger. We also got the vegetarian assortment of money bags, also delicious. Then we followed with prawns bao’s that were the perfect balance of flavour and lastly we treated ourselves to the Camembert dumplings which were surprisingly not over the top, they were really smooth and easy to eat.
Could not fault a single thing in this restaurant. Can’t wait to return to try all the other menu items.
I've been a big fan of Drumplings ever since they've opened. Their concept is a winner and I come back again and again for their cheeseburger dumplings. They taste absolutely amazing and the other ones are pretty good too. The prawn & chives were standard, and the lemon meringue ones were good if not a little too sugary. I only wish they kept the fish & chip dumplings on the menu but nevertheless a very good and memorable restaurant.
Dumplings with a difference. Some were really nice like the truffle ones but others not so. Not a candidate for value for money but the service was friendly and the place had a good vibe with decent drinks options.
So finally we visited @drumplings after a long wait as we had heard a lot about their fusion version of dumplings.

Delicious and different! Dumpling flavours are unique, our faves were the black truffle and pepperoni pizza. Great for sharing (or not) and combined with a tasty fresh cocktail plus the funky atmosphere made for a great dining experience. The lemon meringue are worth a try, even if you don't like the idea of sweet dumplings it's worth it. Will definitely visit again when next in Melbourne!

🍖 Xiao Long Bao
Love the broth that was inside. It was so tasty and perfect for cold weather!
🍢 Chicken Satay Potsticker Dumplings [NEW]
The dumpling itself was slightly plain but went amazingly well with the slightly sweet peanut sauce!
🥧 Aussie Beef Pie Dumplings
Love the generous amount of fillings in this one! If you love Australian Beef Pie, you’re 100% gonna love this! The little bit of tomato sauce on the top really completes the dish.
🍗 Crispy Chicken Bao⠀
This is definitely one of my favourites! You get a huge crumbed chicken fillet with mixed leaf salad inside a soft pillow-like bao. I could have many of these and not get tired of it!

🥭 Mango passion
I love mango, so I had to get this! It’s sweet and refreshing, with a slight taste of gin. I could honestly go for a few glasses.
🌹Pink Rose⠀
This sweetness of the cocktail was slightly milder, so the taste of the gin will be more apparent, but is also really refreshing. On top of that, the bartender came over to set the dried rosemary on the cocktail on fire! Literally, it was lit!
Overall it was such an amazing experience. I love the staff members! They all had smiles on their faces and they were so friendly. One of them moved us from our indoor sitting outdoors because she knew we were going to take pictures. We even had a short conversation! It made me feel very comfortable dining there.

As you walk in you'll find small round tables set up for two on the left. In the middle of the restaurant are long wooden benches and tables that stretch the length of the premises that would be good for larger groups or shared between patrons. On the right of the restaurant is the bar and kitchen. At the rear is an outdoor area with brightly painted walls and outdoor heaters. Would be great place to have drinks and dumplings in summer.
As well as traditional type dumplings, Drumplings serves innovative dumpling such as the Aussie meat pie dumpling amongst others. It's worth a visit if you want to try something different in a funky venue.
We had good service and the waitress was friendly although we did go mid- afternoon when it was not busy.
I'll intend to return to try some of the dishes I missed out on this visit.
Came here with work mates, Quirky fun setting, private and cozy feel. Just the right number of dumpling flavours. Definitely try the modern dumplings - creative ! Lovely staff, super friendly. Downside is the portion size is small for the price.
A great place with different flavours. The cheeseburger dumplings are as described and rather strange but definitely enjoyable. The truffle dumplings are delicious. Service is friendly and they have blankets for sitting outside. Cocktail options are also unusual. It's not cheap but worth it for the experience. I want to go back to try more weird flavours.
Great service, very tasty dumplings, and a nice atmosphere inside. The food also came in about 15 min so waiting time wasn’t an issue either. We had the cheeseburger, beef, pork and chives, and moneybag flavours and all of them tasted great and were nice and hot. The staff were very nice and quick to respond too. It came out to about $27 a person.
