Go and get the crispy pork banh mi!
The bread was crispy on the outside but soft in the middle, the pork had crispy crackling! Great that I was able to make changes too as they’re all made right in front of you!
The queue outside is well worth the wait.
Really friendly guy on the til, will be back soon and I’ll definitely recommend to more people!
I love this place. I would say that one of the perks of my current workplace is that I'm within walking distance of Little Pho and can drop by a couple of times a week.
My favourite thing in their menu if I've skipped breakfast is their Crispy Pork Banh Mi, which is amazing. If I need a sugar rush and a caffeine hit at the same time, I get a take away Vietnamese Iced Coffee (mouth numbingly, amazingly sweet), and if I feel like pretending that I care about my health, their rice paper rolls with the hoisin and peanut dipping sauce is great.
It's a really popular place during the lunch rush, and there's often a line going out the door if you come too late, so I try to get here before 12.00pm. Tim, who mans the cash register, is very friendly and remembers the names of regulars and their usual orders.
I am feeling under the weather today so my body was craving soup! I work up the road from The Little Pho cafe and it is always bustling so I decided to try it. I have also heard good things from colleagues so even more a reason to try. The broth was excellent and I loved the dried onions on top which gave it a really nice taste. The beef on the other hand was a little tough and chewy not the best of beef quality in pho I have had. I did leave most of the beef in the bowl as I couldn't eat it all due to the texture. There were rice paper rolls and Banh Mi rolls in a window which looked amazing so I will definitely be back to try these.
The Little Pho Cafe is simply wow! The pho bo is fantastic value at $9.90 full of succulent and tender beef. There is no skimping of chili, sprouts or Thai basil. Flavours are stunning! The traditional banh mi is the closest to the best you can get on the streets of Saigon and exceptional value at $6.90. Shut up and take my money! Do your taste buds a favour!
The Vietnamese coffee is a great job, strong and smooth. The bhanmi is a really nice work. Plus quick service and friendly staffs. Definetly will come back again.
Very well-balanced Bahn Mi. it's not the most tasty Bahn Mi I had in Melbourne but it's the healthiest! Bonus points for the efficient and friendly staff

Absolutely love the little pho cafe. I have been harding here on a regular basis since moving to a workplace close by a few months ago. The only downside is that it is heaving with people each lunch time but for good reason. It's cheap and cheerful, the service is efficient and the Vietnamese options are delicious. Don't go here looking for the best food you've ever had, what you will find though are several tasty morsels at a good price, including a filling and delicious beef pho (with tasty homemade meatballs), some larger sized rice-paper rolls and fresh salads if you want something lighter. Basically everything under $10 with no minimum spend on the credit card. A few tables to eat in - you might get one if you're lucky. I'll be back, probably tomorrow!
I eat here as often as I can. The Pho Bo, rice paper rolls and salads are the best I've had anywhere. The service is always friendly and efficient.
Best lunch on st kilda rd! The crispy pork bahn mi is always a winner! Their pho is a brilliant winter warmer too - broth is very authentic. They also accept card with no minimum. If you're up for some variety the papaya prawn salad is a great choice too.
Great and largely authentic little family-run Vietnamese restaurant tucked between apartment and commercial buildings at the south end of St Kilda Rd. Only open during the day, queues snake out the door during weekdays around lunch time. Despite this there is not much delay, as service is fast and efficient.
Banh mi are the pick here, and while a little more expensive than straight-up Vietnamese bakeries like Nhu Lan , Phouc Thanh or N. Lee, they still represent a solidly good-value lunch meal at under $8, although flavours are limited to crispy pork, traditional ham, lemongrass chicken and vegetarian. Home made spring rolls are also worth a go, and make the wait for the freshly made rolls a little quicker!
A few seats inside, but otherwise pretty limited; lots of steps and ledges to sit on outside the surrounding buildings though.
