I've visited Fatto a few times and it always satisfies. The space is bright and contemporary with traditional Italian touches, and the food and drinks follow along the same lines. I love the little cocktail window, which is currently taken over by Tanqueray gin for the summer. The drinks are strong and refreshing, but the vegetarian dishes are also a reason to visit.

This summers pop up bar at Fattos just launched tonight. Partnering with Tanqueray this pop up offered us gin based cocktails on tap and some delicious G@T’s and G&S’s. Canapés were curious and gelato a wonderful treat too. Great beats and sunshine ... perfect summer venue.

Came back to Fatto for a pre fixe menu ahead of a live podcast show at the art centre. We liked the choices of this 2 course menu but funnily enough all ended up ordering the same main... the spanner crab spaghettini. Fresh and flavoursome we all enjoyed. For dessert I ordered the tiramisu bc and were surprised by the share size of this dessert when it came out... a real monster. Good fast service and a quick meal... exactly what we wanted ahead of the show.

Came to the launch event for the Fatto Pimms Pop up bar tonight. There was a Pimms cart making the perfect blends. The style is unmistakably summertime and you can relax on lingers with your Pimms cup or share a jug with friends. Fatto Bar has always done a great job with their affordable eats.

Called into Fatto Bar & Cantina ahead of a gig at the Forum (Angus & Julia Stone ... they were great ... especially Julia... thanks for asking). It was fairly quiet being a wet cold Sunday night but we were welcomed to our table. I had had the thought of just grabbing pizza or something at the bar side of this venue as advertising outside indicated $10 pizza and I was happy with the sound of that. Others in the group decided they wanted table service so we were presented with the full menu option instead.

It was quite a tasty looking menu with plenty of variety and vego options to suit some in the group. We had bread and oils plus olives and almonds to snack on while out the pastas we ordered were cooked. The spiced almonds were so tasty I pretty much devoured them alone.

We ordered double ups of the sage and burnt butter agnolotti pasta and the pork ragu with garganelli pasta. Both pastas were delicious. Sage and burnt butter was sensational especially with the addition of roasted pine nuts to the mix. Such a classic but delicious vegetarian option.

My pork ragu was tender and flavoursome and the pasta cooked a firm al dente. One in the group would have preferred their pasta cooked a little longer but that comes down to taste and I’m not even sure if the average restaurant would cater to such a request anyway.

For dessert others chose a second glass of wine. The drinks menu here was actually quite good and the Paolovino Pinot Grigio was very reasonably priced by the glass and very drinkable.

For dessert I went against my standard creme brûlée choice and instead opted for the spiced quince and marsala tart. Something about quince, probably my childhood memories of my parents stewing a tree load of quince and apple from our farm but I couldn’t pass it up and it was yum.

Service was friendly and we enjoyed our time despite the lack of atmosphere on account of being a rainy Sunday evening.

Set against the beautiful Yarra river, this is a great spot. And not one you can miss when you’re walking along the river. If there is one thing I can highly recommend here, it has to be the coffee. It has to be the best damn coffee on the river. The one thing I would avoid is the Espresso Martini. I have come to learn, if they offer it on tap, pass on it. This goes for many other places too.

I love Fatto's position, overlooking the Yarra and the city skyline along Southbank. Set up like a traditional Italian pizzeria, it has a lovely European feel with lots of space indoors, as well as some lovely outdoor areas to soak up the sun. Decorated with Italian paraphernalia and greenery, it's light and airy and has a relaxed feel.

This is the perfect place to order a wine or two over a delicious pizza, and people watch during the day. At night it's a great place to gather with friends and family for delicious Italian fare served with loads of hospitality. The staff are lovely, chatty and welcoming; and visiting Fatto is like visiting family.

My partner and I came here on a Friday night to take advantage of the pre-theatre set menu, we didn’t have a booking however the hostess Chelsea was more than accommodating. We were able to grab a drink and wait for a table, before we knew it a table was ready.
We both enjoyed the sirloin and had a side of broccoli and chips.
For dessert we have the tiramisu and gelati ( masala and chic mint flavours).
We both enjoyed our food.
Fatto is a great way to enjoy the city atmosphere.

We were invited to the Pimms pop up at Fatto which is held on their river terrace Wednesday’s-Sunday’s for the duration of summer. Pimms for me personifies summer so I absolutely adore this ingenious way to enjoy the warmer weather and relax with friends over a refreshing cup or two with some yummy canapés, definitely recommend checking it out

Original review
We were invited to dine at Fatto last night to sample their feasting menu. At $55pp for three courses it was a substantial amount of food and it was all beautifully presented. We started off with a round of aperol spritz before continuing on to white and then red wine. The red, a Pizzini Sangiovese was the standout, thoroughly recommend. They are fortunate to be owned by the same group as Stokehouse so benefit from their sommeliers and boast an impressive wine list.

The first course comprises of kingfish tartare and wagyu carpaccio. The other dish is an antipasto but this was swapped for a burrata with zucchini noodles for us because of dietary requirements (note the menu listed on Zomato has been amended slightly). My favourite was the kingfish. It had both stunning textures and delicious flavours. The carpaccio we were told is made from Victorian wagyu beef and looked like a work of art on the plate.

Next up were the small dishes and the crab spaghettini, Fatto’s signature dish shone in all its stunning simplicity. I really enjoyed the subtle lemon flavour. The chilli was not particularly pronounced which suits me as I’m not a chilli fan! In a word, delicate. The fresh little salad that accompanied this was the perfect pairing.

Our final course was the sirloin which came with some chips that almost stole the show. The paprika style seasoning coating this was exceptionally delicious. With such stellar views of our wonderful city and fabulous food it’s impossible not to like Fatto

We were walking near the NGV and Southbank area with the free city tour and saw they had some happy hour specials so we went to get a couple of pizzas and drinks.

Very small pizzas ( but what else can I expect in $10), and the taste was good. Works well for an evening snack.

We enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon at Fatto in the bar area. Great selection of drinks and bar food including wood-fired pizza and the best chips I’ve ever tasted! Service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!

Happened to be walking by on way out to dinner and saw they had a special on espresso martini’s. Went in for a quick drink and was impressed by the variety of bar snacks and ambience. Will have to go there again for a longer session next time (hopefully the espresso martini’s will in special again)

3.5 Star ⭐️ but closer to four than a three star experience. After a really bad experience of Fatto due to Ubereats fault, I decided to visit Fatto in person to try their food. Sadly the Cantina is closed but the bar is still open serving pizzas and snacks. We shared the some salumi Tartufo and a mushroom pizza. I asked the staff whether tartufo is truffle and they told me no, its is like cured meat like prosciutto. 🙈. I hope it’s just late and they are tired because I am pretty sure tartufo is truffle!!! Thankfully the food really makes up for the service and the salumi was mouthwateringly delicious and mushroom pizza was super tasty 😋

I went here with friends after the NGV on a Sunday afternoon. I had the agnolotti, it was very delicious. You're paying Southbank prices so you get a riverside location. Great location and friendly service. I'm actually more curious about their weekday lunch specials which are not southbank prices. I'll be back to try them.

Delicious lazy Saturday lunch on the terrace. Shared beetroot risotto, baramundi, crab pasta and pumpkin ravioli as well as garlic pizza and ricotta nectarine to start. Would recommend all of them. Drink service was slow and could be improved.
