3.5/5
Great brunch experience! Very cosy and nice place. Place was quite crowded and many people had to queue outside so I’d recommend making a booking. The eggs benedict was my personal favourite and would recommend this!
Went for brunch here last weekend. Absolutely loved the food.
7/10 cute little cafe hidden near south yarra station
Service: very friendly and welcoming, asked us very nicely when we overstayed because they had tables reserved ☺️ very polite and attentive
Drinks: coffee here is good, no surprise since it’s from Proud Mary. However the latte art was a rose and that was pretty, nice change from the common leaf art!
Food:
Jamon potato rosti was not oily, fried to crispy. Jamon was thinly sliced and nicely flavored.
Truffle mushroom pancake was very interesting. The mushrooms were inside the pancake rather than on top, and it tasted delicious to my surprise! Loved the seaweed topping though would have preferred less watercress on top.
Overall, a very interesting Asian fusion cafe 😋 had a good brunch here.
Clean exterior with homey interior. Friendly and amazing staff and comfortable seating, well lit and a wide selection of food!
With so many options it was hard to say what I wanted to get since everything on the menu sounded great, but ended up with the following
Dulche de Leche Pancakes (4.5/5)
Such an amazing dish! Delicious flavours with great textures. Soft fluffy pancakes (although wouldve liked a little more volume and puff) that weren't overly sweet. Blueberries were in the pancakes that gave it a great burst of flavour. The dulche de leche sauce was divine and so good that I wiped the plate clean. Berries definitely added some tartness and the puree was nice and fragrant. The crumb topping gave it the texture it needed and overall completed the dish. Freeze dried strawberries as well were perfect.
Chili Scramble (3/5)
Goof amount of spice, cheese, and soft fluffy eggs! My only concerns were that the cheese sort of were not as melted as I think the dish got slightly warm (not ad hot) when it got to us. Overall enjoyable with the chorizo adding a bit of salt to the spice. Sriracha sauce on the side definitely brought up the spice level! Eggs were perfectly scrambled. Sourdough was not soggy, but the crust was a little too hard to cut in. Good portion.
Overall loved this cafe. will definitely come back. Wanted to try their savoury pancakes too! Cant wait to return.
Love this place. I’ve been here a couple of times now and so far only tried their corn and sweet potato fritters, but I keep coming back for them! Lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and good music. Staff are super friendly and welcoming.
Absolutely love this place. Beautiful green, airy feel... Incredible coffee and service and possible the best Chilli Scrambled Eggs I've had in Melbourne.
I'm so thrilled to have this as my local. The staff are awesome and very friendly too :)
Good vibes all round!!!
Omg!!! What an hidden gem! Me and my friend came here twice in a row and I can’t wait to go back again and try a different dish! The service is so friendly and the location is a lovely little cafe just off Toorak Rd. We just moved in the area and we were looking for our local cafe. Not too fancy and Yvonne provided an amazing smiling service. Even the other staff members are really attentive. Is not your usual fancy cafe in South Yarra, it felt like home. We will definitely go back to try other dishes. A must is their signature dish! Really to die for! Thanks again Yvonne for your lovely smile, service and cafe. We will, for sure, see you again really soon!
Cafe Gaia is my to go to Brunch every single day of the year! I am in love with their variety and how it is just so fulling! Their food combinations are just amazing. Pork crackling and apple? What?!! Amazing. They are always mixing flavours here and there which turns out to taste absolutely delicious. I've tried other brunch places around South Yarra and in Melbourne CBD, nothing beats Cqfe Gaia! Love x
Favourite cafe! From food to the coffee but most of all Yvonne and Ronnie! Thank you for making my birthday so special. I wish you both all the best. You are taking things from strength to strength. Thank you for the genuine love we feel!! Kaush Troy
We went here for Mother’s Day. The service was spot on. The food was delicious and the chai was made fresh with chai spices not powder. I had the potato Rosti which was really yum and very generous sized meal. Looking forward to going back!

This local cafe was so busy with locals when we arrived. The menu has a Vietnamese fusion twist which is exciting and one of its kind for the area!
Everything arrived beautifully. We enjoyed our fresh juices- the ABC and Green Juice. Viet coffee is also not to be missed- super strong. The matcha latte using matcha maiden powder was also intense with flavour ♥️💫🍵
Favourites from the food were the pork belly Benedict- the fatty pork just melts in your mouth! 😻 other top pick was the Asian eggs- loved the lemon grass chicken and hash brown!! 🔥👍🏻💫 the tom yum soba noodles + spring rolls were also good- the sauce is addictive.
The owners were lovely a lovely Vietnamese family. The menu items are creative and amazing! Worth a visit for a chilled and modern vibe. Sitting on the deck was perfect during summer! 🔥
Asian fusion done right, right here! The pork belly Benedict is absolute perfection. Pork belly, poached eggs, PORK FLOSS, kimchi apples and more. 🤤🤤 I’m super keen to visit again to check out the rest of their menu
Very yummy food and nice atmosphere. Love coming here.
