Nice little restaurant on a busy street, the decoration was really nice and had a good vibe to it. Food was nice and the texture was good. Seating wasn't the best, the small chairs were really hard to sit on. Overall the experience was good and the food was yummy. Good place for some Japanese food around the area with some twist to a traditional Japanese menu.
The omelette curry rice is delicious and the portion is large. Ordering by scanning the QR code on the table was simple and delivery was done by their reboot on wheels. It will be nice to see if they cover the dish with transparent food cover to ensure hygiene and keep the food warm.
Absolutely love it here and genuinely order a few pieces of sushi shy of a feast when I dine in.
Great prices and decent to good portions.
I’m a big fan of the Red Miso Tonkotsu Ramen and the Spicy Pork Gyoza (definitely recommend adding extra noodles for the ramen).
They have great combos so you can get beer and a side fairly cheaply.
The staff are all 10/10 super polite and if you’re lucky enough to dine up stairs the little serving robot is rather whimsical.
I cannot recommend this place enough 🍜

This was such a fun experience! We thought this was just a tiny sushi store but then discovered there was a whole upstairs area where robots served you your food. I thought the whole experience was very good and I plan to return.
Pros:
For the number of people that were there (on a busy day) there there was fast service
ROBOTS! Serve you your food. Very cool.
If you get a booth you'll be in for a treat, they are very comfy
Sushi and sashimi were yummy, as well as the beef bowl with 63 degree egg.
Well priced - not the cheapest, but still good value for money

Cons:
A couple of communication issues with staff
Sparkling wine had been shaken up so went all over the table when we opened it, but it was replaced with no fuss
Some of the prices on the menu hadn't been updated resulting in items being a couple dollars more expensive than expecting
Call button on table didn't work (but that wasn't much of an issue as we could just wave someone over)
Short wait outside (about 5-10 mins) but this is to be expected at places with an element of novelty about them
Superhiro is always super busy and bustling with people for both dine in and takeaway throughout the day, especially during dinner times. I’ve gone here for takeaway twice and is happy to say that the food you get is worth what you pay.
Though I wouldn’t say the food here us cheap, but it’s very reasonable. The portion you get is filling and it’s not too expensive.
I loved the 🍱🐟 Grilled Mackerel Bento Set. The fish itself had a lot of bones, so be careful, but the taste was delicious. The sides were yum as well. It includes half a soy egg, deep fried spring rolls, side salad, miso soup, rice, and two pieces of sushi nigiri.
The 🥩 beef tataki itself was nothing special, but delicious once you dip into the sauce.
For the 🍣 rice roll, the rice was well seasoned and the fillings of salmon sashimi and crab stick meat mayo were yum!
Superhero is a cheap takeaway or dine in option on Swanston St so I love going on my lunch break. The service is lovely but I gave this place a 4 as it doesn’t have many brown rice sushi roll options in the front cabinet.
They have QR code ordering which makes it easier to split the bill and upstairs you are served by robots! Very cool use of technology to keep it fast paced and ensure lines/tables are moving. I also appreciate the table design with pull out drawers filled with eating utensils.
The food was amazing with rich and delicious flavours. Really simple but amazing dishes. The food is great for the cost. It great to go by yourself or with friends. I totally be going back again with friends. The staff are really friendly as well.
Delicious. Fast. Affordable. Quality. A great experience for at such great value. Decent menu to choose from. You really cannot go wrong.
