Such a great place to go with a group of friends! So fun, vibe is good for a cocktail. The goose pate rice was absolutely amazing. We got the set that came wish lobster, sashimi, entrees, wagyu and congee and was so good.
Yes they were open for lunch. We were welcomed by the staff, they were so attentive and friendly. We ordered the Sashimi platter, Tempura platter and a Wagyu set that cake with miso soup & rice. Everything was delicious and well presented. Lovely booth seating for couples or groups of four.
Delicious Japanese cuisine
We’re so impressed by the delivery from Shou Sumiyaki.
First of all, everything was so nicely packaged, and they paid efforts in plating as if you were dining in. We really enjoyed the Wagyu Beef Gyu Katsu Set. The thick slices of wagyu were heavenly - so juicy and tender! Even the side dishes, half-boiled egg and cold soba in sesame sauce tasted perfect.
🦞 Deluxe Lobster Miso Ramen was a bomb as well! The hot soup and Char Siu (pork) were amazingly flavourful. We didn’t want to waste even a drop of the soup.
Lastly, you must top up to have their ox tongues ❤️.
We can’t wait for our next meal at Shou😋
First time to order for delivery from Shou Sumiyaki. It’s awesome, cheaper price with high quality! Really enjoy the meal in hear and will back soon.
Shou Sumiyaki - A fantastic Japanese BBQ experience in the heart of China Town. The quality of produce and especially the meat really shines through the dishes. Well worth the visit!!
My Rating: 4.5
It was the first time my 2 friends and I dined at Shou Sumiyaki for dinner and we really enjoyed it. Overall the food was fresh and super tasty and service was very good.

Towards the back there are tatami seating with sliding door for private functions.

🔆VERDICT🔆
We clearly over-ordered. Don’t know if we were too excited about the variety of food items on the menu or we just wanted to try a bit of everything.
The chilled cucumber was refreshing and delicious, along with the wagyu beef tataki salad. The beef was tender and tasty and came with a sesame mayo dressing.
The Salmon tataki and salmon sushi were both equally enjoyable. The salmon tasted extremely fresh which was fantastic.
The gyoza was only average, so this should be an item to skip.
On to the BBQ component. We decided to order the Kobe M10 Scotch and the Kobe M10 Oyster Blade from the advice of our waitress. These two are the most popular and also the M10 apparently is very tender. We had to go for these ones right? I particularly enjoyed the Oyster Blade as the texture was much nicer to chew, but having said that the scotch is also quite tasty too.
The mushrooms and broccoli pieces were both wrapped up in foil with some butter and placed on the BBQ. The waitress came over to opened them up to help check on the progress and told us that they were ready to eat. Having some side vegetables helped balance with all the meat.
My iced Hojicha soft serve was delicious!
We really enjoyed our dining experience at Shou Sumiyaki.

High quality food in a nice setting. Service was friendly and wagyu set is more than enough. Favourite was the sukiyaki! Mmmm
Awesome Japanese hotpot in the middle of China town. Bursting with flavours with use of great produce. Loved the wagyu set they have available.
We really enjoyed the set menu for 2 @$129. Friendly staff and great food. It was very busy being Saturday night and a bit hectic with staff running everywhere hence only 4 stars. Loved it.
Will return and can recommend
